2010 Ford Fusion

Rating: 4 out of 5
  • Currently 4.0/5.0

The new redesign of the Ford Fusion certainly attracted my eye when it came out last model year. The sleek and toned rendition of a Ford classic certainly speaks volumes about the recent initiative at the company to produce automobiles that have the reliability and style of overseas competitors that have glutted the domestic car market.
The Ford Fusion brings with it the sensible and practicality of most midsized cars but with an emphasis on making the mundane fun again. The car, for all intents and purposes, is an ordinary midsize vehicle with the suburban commuter in mind. However, with a high priority placed on style and sophistication, the Ford Fusion looks a lot better than many competitors.
Furthermore, the interior of the Ford Fusion really made me feel at home and comfortable. The driver seat seemed to hug my contours and secured me in place with a very race car type feel to it. The seat seemed like it belonged in a much higher end German important than a standard American midsized.
The pick up and go of this car was also admirable and I liked the power this vehicle had to do. Acceleration seemed above average for the midsized class and letting this car unleash its potential on open roads was more fun than I expected. For the sticker price offered I felt this vehicle was a solid buy.
The ride and handling was also top notch and proved to be a very quiet drive given the amount of thrust this car had. The ride could be bumpy in places and I noticed that the suspension didn't keep up with the rest of the car. As I accelerated I noticed a drastic decrease in the smoothness of the ride. Nevertheless, my time behind the wheel was certainly far better than I expected.
