Assessing the source of stored images/text on computers is at least as important, if not more important, security measure for individuals. Because the practice of image storing destroys both autonomy and permits intrusion when not initiated by a user, the danger of misrepresentation is very high, and for security purposes, should be able to be identified by its source or origin in being stored. Don't computer hackers rely upon absence of that feature to cripple machines and to perform subterfuge? Since it has little to do with marketing or surveillance, it is unlikely to be protected commerce as a practice, and may be a needed secure mode for computer and internet users.
