Regardless of whether Gore claimed he created/invented the Internet, Daniel Allen Butler (first commenter here) is still an idiot, because RFC 1 was not a magical document which suddenly created the Internet. It's just a protocol like any other. RFC 1 isn't like a Constitution for the whole Internet, and Daniel would have noticed that if he had actually _read_ any of it.
