I have a niggle about the equation for the round trip delay that is given in the RFC for use by the client. Is it correct that the time elapsed between the server receiving the request and sending the reply is:(Tx_stamp[T3] - Rx_stamp[T2]) where these terms refer to the fields in the server's response? If so, should not the client's round trip delay equation read:-d=(T4-T1)-(T3-T2) instead ofd=(T4-T1)-(T2-T3)as in RFC2030?It is an academic question if the Server is not indicating ANY internal delay as T2 and T3 are then identical, but as I now wish to implement a more precise server by declaring the internal server delay, it is now relevant for me to understand this.
