It would be great if LIPKEY could be expanded to allow for authentication tokens other than username/password, SAML Assertions come to mind. Of course this would probably mean that LIPKEY would have to include a protocol for the server to notify the client what type of token is required.This also brings me to the subject of Authentication Realms. I do not see a way for the server to tell the client what its realm is, this information would be required when prompting the user for its credentials or when choosing from multiple sets of credentials.
