20120077758 | INFERTILITY ASSOCIATED DEFB-126 DELETION POLYMORPHISM - The present application provides diagnostic methods for determining the fertility status of a male individual by evaluating his DEFB-126 phenotypic and genotypic status. The present invention relates to a dinucleotide deletion polymorphism in the protein coding sequence of a DEFB-126 nucleic acid. The amino acid sequence of this variant has a significantly altered the carboxyl terminal, carbohydrate-containing domain of DEFB-126 in comparison to a wild-type DEFB-126 polypeptide. This variant results in aberrant protein function and structure, leading to reduced sperm function and fertility. The present invention provides methods for analyzing the genotype of individuals with respect to the gene encoding DEFB-126 in order to determine whether that individual has reduced fertility. Such determination will provide an individual knowledge of whether their genotype is associated with a risk of reduced fertility and to allow that individual to receive appropriate fertility treatment options. The present invention further provides kits that are useful for diagnosing increased risk or probability of infertility based on the presence or absence of the DEFB-126 deletion polymorphism. The application also provides therapeutic methods and compositions for restoring sperm functionality (e.g., to effect conception) in sperm from an individual who expresses insufficient levels of DEFB-126. | 03-29-2012 |

20150031265 | Block Learning Game - A learning toy that includes a frame and a plurality of blocks. Each block includes a different color on each face with a first face having a first color and a second face having a second color. Additionally, four different colors are separately assigned to each of the remaining faces and the color assignments vary between at least two blocks of the plurality of blocks. The plurality of blocks allow for consistency and variability. Consistency comes from the colors assigned to two faces staying the same between blocks and the variability comes from the colors assigned to remaining four faces varying between some blocks. | 01-29-2015 |

20120271668 | Open Date Ticketing Method and System - A system and method is disclosed for selling open date ticket packages to selected events of a season of sporting or other events. A package of tickets is purchased in advance of the season with a predetermined number of open date tickets for a selected section or sections of the stadium. The tickets in the package are not date specific and not limited as to how many tickets of the package can be redeemed for attendance at a single event. During a window before each eligible event of the season, open date ticket holders may redeem tickets online for the upcoming event. One or all of the tickets of the package, or any number in between, can be redeemed for any specific event. Each redeemed ticket is assigned a seat and provided with the right to attend the event for which the open date ticket was redeemed. | 10-25-2012 |

20150163231 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REDUCING LOAD ON AN OPERATING SYSTEM WHEN EXECUTING ANTIVIRUS OPERATIONS - An initial trust status is assigned to a first object, the trust status representing one of either a relatively higher trust level or a relatively lower trust level. Based on the trust status, the first object is associated with an event type to be monitored, where the event type is selected from among: essential events, occurrence of which is informative as to trust status evaluating for an object, and critical events, including the essential events, and additional events, occurrence of which is informative as to execution of suspicious code. Occurrences of events relating to the first object are monitored. In response to the first object being assigned the relatively higher trust level, only the essential events are monitored. In response to the first object being assigned the relatively lower trust level, the critical events are monitored. A need for performing malware analysis is determined based on the trust status of the first object and the event type. In response to determination of the need for performing the malware analysis, the malware analysis for the first object is either performed, or not. | 06-11-2015 |

20100112151 | HIGH-VOLTAGE PULSED ELECTRICAL FIELD FOR ANTIMICROBIAL TREATMENT - Aspects of the invention relate to a device and method for non-contact inactivation of undesirable and/or harmful microorganisms in products using high-voltage nanosecond pulsed electrical field. In certain embodiments, a product may be packaged into a container which is made from a dielectric material and placed between electrodes to be processed by a pulsed electrical field. In certain embodiments, the electrodes, together with the container, may be placed into a treatment assembly filled with a high dielectric permeability media that allows the formation of a quasi-uniform electrical field inside the product and prevents the electrical breakdown of the dielectric material of the container. The electrodes may be connected to a high voltage generator, which forms nanosecond pulses that allow an electrical field of high intensity to penetrate the dielectric material of container walls and gaps between the electrodes and the container's walls to the product without significant energy losses. | 05-06-2010 |

20100201820 | INTRUSION ALARM VIDEO-PROCESSING DEVICE - Binarization is performed using a threshold image obtained by multiplying a variation in each pixel value of an input image with a coefficient. Although the variation is time-averaged based on an update coefficient for each pixel, the update coefficient is switched depending on whether or not a relevant pixel belongs to the object. Subsequently, from the binary image, an initial detection zone is formed and a spatial filtering process is performed thereto. The spatial filtering process includes at least one of skeleton analysis processing, object mask processing, morphology processing, and section analysis processing. For a tracking zone, the temporal positional change thereof is tracked, and the noise is reduced. Some of the tracking zones are removed, and the remaining zones are integrated into a cluster, and furthermore the cluster selection is performed based on the dimensions in real space. | 08-12-2010 |

20090284660 | METHOD OF DETECTING OBJECTS - The invention, at the first frame, records the background, as the threshold of detection—constant image with the predetermining minimum threshold, and with each subsequent frame, corrects the background and threshold with formulas while producing the adaptation of a renewal—constant in each pixel depending on the presence of the detected object, defines the difference between the current frame and background, compares it with the threshold, combines elements exceeding a threshold into detection zones, performs rejection of the detection zones, divides the zones in order to separate shadows, forms a tracking zone, searches already-detected segment of objects, forming clusters of the tracking zones. The coordinates of the obtained rectangles are assumed as the coordinates of the objects located in the frame. | 11-19-2009 |
