20080272214Fuel injector - A fuel injector comprising a nozzle having a nozzle needle which is moveable with respect to a first needle seat to control fuel delivery through a nozzle outlet. The injector includes a nozzle control valve for controlling fuel flow into a control chamber through a first passage to pressurise the control chamber, and for controlling fuel flow out of said control chamber through said first passage to depressurise the control chamber. Movement of the nozzle needle is controlled by fuel pressure within the control chamber, such that pressurising the control chamber causes the nozzle needle to be urged against the first needle seat to close the nozzle outlet, and depressurising the control chamber causes the nozzle needle to lift from the first needle seat to open the nozzle outlet. The nozzle needle defines, at least in part, a restricted passage through which fuel can flow into the control chamber as the control chamber depressurises. The fuel flow into the control chamber through the restricted passage serves to reduce the rate at which the control chamber depressurises, thereby reducing the rate at which the nozzle needle lifts from the first needle seat to open the nozzle outlet.11-06-2008

20100326550WATER DIVERSION AND COLLECTION APPARATUS - A water collector for use with a drainpipe comprising an aperture and a valve associated with at least one said output aperture wherein the valve can be selectively moved to permit the flow of fluid through its associated aperture in a first position or to restrict the fluid flow through such aperture in a second position. The valve is activated from its first position to its second position via the action of a cable upon the valve. The valve is pivotally connected to the drainpipe and configured to be moved about the pivot by the action of the cable.12-30-2010

20080222698Secure Computer Communication - A method of improving the security of computer communications over a connecting network comprising the steps, carried out before a data packet enters the connecting network from a user domain, of tagging the data packet from a user domain with a security level marking and appending the tagged data packet with a string formed from a check-sum made over the data packet and security level marking tag to form a datagram. The integrity of the data is protected and the method can be used to prevent the mis-routing of data packets to user domains of lower security classification.09-11-2008

20090071264Flowmeter - An electromagnetic flowmeter assembly is described in which an excitation field is set up across a flow conduit and electrodes are used to sense the electromagnetic field generated across the flow conduit as a result of interaction between the excitation field and fluid flowing along the flow conduit. The signals obtained from the electrodes are processed, together with stored calibration data, by processing circuitry to determine flow measurements and means is provided for dynamically updating the calibration data.03-19-2009

20090205439METHOD FOR OPERATION OF A FLOW MEASUREMENT DEVICE, AND A FLOW MEASUREMENT DEVICE ITSELF - The disclosure relates to a method for operation of a flow measurement device, and to a flow measurement device itself. In order in this case to record the conductivity of the medium or faults resulting from deposits by means of a measurement tube configuration in a technically simple manner, a total of at least 4 electrodes are arranged distributed on the circumference of the measurement tube, in the measurement tube. When a signal is fed in at one of the electrodes or at an electrode pair, an electric current is measured between one electrode pair, while an electrical voltage is measured between another electrode pair. An impedance value is determined from the two measured values, from which impedance value a conductivity of the medium is determined and/or in comparison of different conductivities or in comparison with historical values, it is deduced that there is a covering layer on the electrodes.08-20-2009
