| 20090280680 | Scalable Switch Device and System - A scalable switch system and method for connecting a plurality of output devices to a plurality of media source includes an array of input connectors and a first array of first jumper connectors electrically connected to the array of input connectors such that at least one input connector of the array of input connectors electrically connects to a first jumper connector. The input connector connected to the first jumper connector is electrically connected to a termination resistance when the first jumper connector for the input connector is in a first jumper configuration. A second array of the second jumper connectors is configured to make available to electrically connect one of at least two input connections to an output connector of the array of output connectors. Multiple switch devices may be interconnected to fit a variety of media systems. | 11-12-2009 |

| 20080319886 | Winans Trend Indicator - Two moving averages are plotted against a market index price to signal long term market trends. To avoid whipsaws, when applied to the S&P 500, the 40 week moving average is given a negative 3.6% filter and the 25 week moving average is given a positive 2% filter. Crossings of the moving averages are ignored. An index price dipping below the negative 3.6% filter of the 40 week moving average will generate a sell signal and an index price rising above the 2% filter over the 25 week moving average will generate a buy signal. A related moving average fund buys and sells financial instruments based upon the methods of disclosed system, know as Winans Trend Indicator. | 12-25-2008 |

| 20110045969 | SUBNANOMETER AND NANOMETER CATALYSTS, METHOD FOR PREPARING SIZE-SELECTED CATALYSTS - Highly uniform cluster based nanocatalysts supported on technologically relevant supports were synthesized for reactions of top industrial relevance. The Pt-cluster based catalysts outperformed the very best reported ODHP catalyst in both activity (by up to two orders of magnitude higher turn-over frequencies) and in selectivity. The results clearly demonstrate that highly dispersed ultra-small Pt clusters precisely localized on high-surface area supports can lead to affordable new catalysts for highly efficient and economic propene production, including considerably simplified separation of the final product. The combined GISAXS-mass spectrometry provides an excellent tool to monitor the evolution of size and shape of nanocatalyst at action under realistic conditions. Also provided are sub-nanometer gold and sub-nanometer to few nm size-selected silver catalysts which possess size dependent tunable catalytic properties in the epoxidation of alkenes. Invented size-selected cluster deposition provides a unique tool to tune material properties by atom-by-atom fashion, which can be stabilized by protective overcoats. | 02-24-2011 |

| 20090055003 | Controlling Remote Control Devices - A control apparatus for controlling one or more functions of a controlled device includes a movement sensor operable to detect both a direction of movement and an amount of movement of the control apparatus, a microcontroller for receiving a signal corresponding to the direction and amount of movement and generating one or more corresponding control signals for controlling the controlled device, and a transmitter for transmitting the control signals to the controlled device. The control apparatus may include a position selectable control and a sensor coupled to the control to sense a position thereof. According to some implementations, the movement sensor may be used to control a direction of the controlled device, and the position selectable control may be used to control a speed of the controlled device. | 02-26-2009 |
