20100021477 | DESIGN AND GENERATION OF HUMAN DE NOVO pIX PHAGE DISPLAY LIBRARIES - Described and claimed herein are combinatorial synthetic Fab libraries displayed on a phage pIX protein. The libraries were built on scaffolds representing the most frequently used genes in human antibodies, which were diversified to mirror the variability of natural antibodies. After selection using a diverse panel of proteins, numerous specific and high-affinity Fabs were isolated. By a process called in-line maturation the affinity of some antibodies was improved up to one hundred-fold yielding low pM binders suitable for in vivo use. This work thus demonstrates the feasibility of displaying complex Fab libraries as pIX-fusion proteins for antibody discovery and lays the foundations for studies on the structure-function relationship of antibodies. | 01-28-2010 |

20110320605 | Provisioning Multiple Network Resources - A resource provisioning service allows users to provision multiple, different network resources in an atomic manner and with a single call to a resource provisioning service. In some instances, the multiple, different network resources comprise individual types of resources that form a portion of one or more cloud-computing platforms. For instance, one or more entities may host and operate a cloud-computing platform that includes different types of network resources, such a storage service, a load balancing service, a compute service, a security service, or any other similar or different type of network-accessible service. | 12-29-2011 |
20140129690 | CUSTOM RESOURCES IN A RESOURCE STACK - A resource stack managed by a resource stack provider is created based on a resource stack template that integrates a custom resource from a second provider into the resource stack using a notification system with the second provider. For example, a customer may create a template that defines a resource stack that comprises resources available from the resource stack provider and one or more custom resources provided by a second provider. When a resource stack is created, resources available from the resource stack provider may be provisioned. Custom resources may be initialized by notifying the provider of the custom resource of the requested integration of the custom resource with the resource stack and requested configuration details. The custom resource provider may respond with an indication of successful integration when the custom resource has been successfully initialized. After initializing the resources, the resource stack may be enabled for use. | 05-08-2014 |
20140365668 | USING A TEMPLATE TO UPDATE A STACK OF RESOURCES - Techniques are described that enable a user to upgrade a stack of resources by providing a template that reflects the desired end state of the stack. Upon receiving a new template, the system automatically detects changes that should be performed and determines the order in which the changes should be performed. The system can also detect if the desired changes to the stack are a result of direct modifications; because parameters to the resources have changed; or the changes are indirectly caused by other dependency/attribute changing. Additionally, the system determines whether the changes require creating new resources or if the changes can be made to the resources live. In case of replacement of resources, the system will first create the new resource, move that new resource into the stack and remove the old resource(s). In case of failures, the system ensures that the stack rolls back to the initial state. | 12-11-2014 |

20110058049 | Real-Time Image Stabilization - An apparatus and method for stabilizing image frames in a video data stream. A weighted average or centroid of the intensity or hue associated with pixels vs. the horizontal and vertical position of each pixel is calculated for a reference frame in the video data stream. A corresponding centroid is calculated for a subsequent frame in the stream. This image frame is then translated so that the centroid of the subsequent frame and the centroid of the reference frame coincide, reducing artifacts from shaking of the video capture device. Alternatively, the video stream frames may be divided into tiles and centroids calculated for each tile. The centroids of the tiles of a subsequent frame are curve fit to the centroids of tiles in a reference frame. An affine transform is then performed on the subsequent frame to reduce artifacts in the image from movements of the video capture device. | 03-10-2011 |
20110090399 | Data Search, Parser, and Synchronization of Video and Telemetry Data - A system is provided that can parse both telemetry data and corresponding encoded video data wherein the telemetry and video data are subsequently synchronized based upon temporal information, such as a time stamp. The telemetry data and the video data are originally unsynchronized and the data for each is acquired by a separate device. The acquiring devices may be located within or attached to an aerial vehicle. The system receives the telemetry data stream or file and the encoded video data stream or file and outputs a series of synchronized video images with telemetry data. Thus, there is telemetry information associated with each video image. The telemetry data may be acquired at a different rate than the video data. As a result, telemetry data may be interpolated or extrapolated to create telemetry data that corresponds to each video image. The present system operates in real-time, so that data acquired from aerial vehicles can be displayed on a map. | 04-21-2011 |
20110188762 | Real-Time Composite Image Comparator - An apparatus and method for preparing a composite image from a video data stream and for identifying changed features in two composite images. Frames from the video data stream are transformed to a projected 2D image, aligned with adjacent frames and overlapping areas are averaged to provide a higher apparent resolution. The composite image can be stored in real-time. As a second composite image is prepared of the same location at a later time, portions of the second image can be compared to corresponding portions of the stored image after the intensities of the images are equalized. Image areas whose absolute difference exceeds a threshold are again intensity equalized. Areas that are again above threshold can be flagged for further scrutiny, either by a human or by a machine that performs object recognition. In this way, composite video images of a scene can be prepared and compared in real-time. | 08-04-2011 |
20120212477 | Fast Haze Removal and Three Dimensional Depth Calculation - A computer-implemented method of processing digital input image data containing haze and having a plurality of color channels including at least a blue channel, to generate output image data having reduced haze, includes receiving in a first computer-implemented process, digital input image data, and generating, in a second computer-implemented process, digital output image data based on the digital input image data using an estimated transmission vector for the digital input image data. The estimated transmission vector is substantially equal to an inverse blue channel of the digital input image data, and the digital output image data contains less haze than the digital input image data. The method also includes outputting the digital output image data via an output device. | 08-23-2012 |
20120213436 | Fast Image Enhancement and Three-Dimensional Depth Calculation - Embodiments of the present invention relate to processing of digital image data that has been generated by imaging a physical object through a medium. For example, the medium may be, the atmosphere and the atmosphere may have some inherent property, such as haze, fog, or smoke. Additionally, the medium may be media other than the atmosphere, such as, water or blood. There may be one or more media that obstructs the physical object and the medium resides at least in front of the physical object between the physical object and an imaging sensor. The physical object may be one or more physical objects that are part of a scene in a field of view (e.g. view of a mountain range, forest, cars in a parking lot etc.). An estimated transmission vector of the medium is determined based upon digital input image data. Once the transmission vector is determined, effects due to scattering can be removed from the digital input image producing a digital output image that enhances the digital input image so that further detail may be perceived. Additionally, the estimated transmission vector may be used to determine depth data for each addressable location within the image. The depth information may be used to create a three-dimensional image from a two dimensional image. | 08-23-2012 |
20130322697 | Speed Calculation of a Moving Object based on Image Data - A method and system for estimating the average speed of a moving object based on an attribute of the moving object present within the captured image data is disclosed. A plurality of images of the moving object are recorded using an image sensor that senses the ambient light or other electromagnetic radiation reflected or emitted by the moving object. Each image is captured at a different capture time. The image sensor is preferably located at a fixed or substantially fixed location when imaging the moving object. An area of interest of the moving object is located within the image data of the first image. An attribute of the moving object is then calculated for the first image. For at least a second image, the same attribute is calculated for the same area of interest of the moving object. The attribute calculations for the first and at least second images are then used to determine the average speed of the moving object. The attribute may be the cross-sectional area of the area of interest of the moving object. | 12-05-2013 |

20090089642 | LOW-DENSITY PARITY-CHECK (LDPC) ENCODER - The encoder chip of the present invention uses LDPC codes to encode input message data at a transmitting end, thereby generating a series of codewords. The encoder chip implements two low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes. The first LDPC code is a (4088,3360) code (4K) which is shortened from a (4095,3367) cyclic code. The second LDPC code is a quasi-cyclic (8158,7136) code (8K). The message data and the generated codewords are transmitted to a receiving end where the received codewords are decoded and checked for errors. To generate the codewords, the encoder applies a generator matrix G to the input message data. The G matrix is generated by first defining an H matrix. An H matrix is initially defined as 16Ć2 array of right-circulant sub-matrices. The G matrix is formed by manipulating the H matrix according to a 4-step algorithm. A randomizer and a synchronization marker are also included within the encoder. | 04-02-2009 |

20100095500 | Injector sleeve removal tool - A tool is disclosed herein used for removing an injector sleeve from the cylinder head of a diesel engine between the rocker arms while the head remains mounted to the engine block within the vehicle. The devices includes a tap having a longitudinal body has a thread cutting head at one end and an axial threaded bore at the opposing end. A drive member comprises a bolt having a head at one distal end and a threaded shaft body portion. An extraction nut is threaded onto the threaded shaft of the drive member followed by a bearing surface member such as a spacer. A washer having an axial hole sized for movable engagement on the threaded shaft is disposed on the threaded shaft after the spacer. A hollow cylinder or support sleeve having an internal diameter greater than the injector sleeve to be removed and an external diameter less than the diameter of the sleeve bore includes a shoulder member projecting outwardly from the exterior of the support sleeve at a selected point. Moreover, a washer having a center hole is disposed onto the threaded end of a bolt having a holding nut threaded thereon spaced apart a selected distance from the threaded distal end. The threaded distal end of the bolt is inserted into and threadably engages threads of the tap nut so that the bolt is fastened to the tap. The end of the injector sleeve removal tool defining the tap assembly is passed through a hollow cylinder of a selected diameter sized so that the end edges of the tube rest on the surface of the cylinder head surrounding the injector sleeve to be removed. The washer is selected having an outer diameter large enough to provide a bottom surface for resting on the top edge of the hollow cylinder. The holding nut rests upon the top surface of the washer above the hollow cylinder. The head of the bolt opposite the tap assembly is rotated with a tool, whereby the distal end having the tap assembly turns to cut threads into the interior surface of the injector sleeve securing same. The head of the bolt is held in a stationary position and the holding nut is then turned and moved downwardly biasing the bottom surface of the washer against the top edges of the hollow cylinder pulling the injector sleeve upward and out of the cylinder head in order that a replacement injector sleeve can be pressed into place in the cylinder head. | 04-22-2010 |
