20150031965 | MONITORING PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS - A method for monitoring physiological parameters associated with a subject using a hand held device is described herein. In an implementation, the method includes obtaining a plurality of sample photoplethysmographic (PPG) features associated with a sample subject, from a video of a body part of the sample subject. From among the plurality of sample PPG features, at least one relevant sample PPG feature associated with the physiological parameter, is selected based on a ground truth value of the physiological parameter for the subject. Further, based on the at least one relevant sample PPG feature and the ground truth value of the physiological parameter, a mathematical model indicative of a correlation between the relevant sample PPG feature and the physiological parameter, is determined. The mathematical model can be deployed for monitoring the physiological parameter in real time. | 01-29-2015 |

20160113531 | ESTIMATING PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS - A physiological parameter measurement device comprising a processor and a video processing module coupled to the processor to divide each of a plurality of frames of a video into a plurality of blocks, where the video is of a body part of a subject whose physiological parameter is to be determined. The video processing module further is to select a block having highest peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) from amongst the plurality of blocks. Further, the video processing module is to extract a photoplethysmogram (PPG) signal from the video based on a block identifier associated with the block. The physiological parameter measurement device further comprises a signal enhancement module coupled to the processor, to process the PPG signal to obtain an enhanced PPG signal for determining a value of the physiological parameter for the subject. | 04-28-2016 |

20140221242 | GENOME-WIDE METHYLATION ANALYSIS AND USE TO IDENTIFY GENES SPECIFIC TO BREAST CANCER HORMONE RECEPTOR STATUS AND RISK OF RECURRANCE - To better understand the biology of hormone receptor-positive and negative breast cancer and to identify methylated gene markers of disease progression, a genome-wide methylation array analysis was performed on 103 primary invasive breast cancers and 21 normal breast samples using the Illumina Infinium HumanMethylation27 array that queried 27,578 CpG loci. Forty CpG loci showed differential methylation specific to either ER-positive or ER-negative tumors. Each of the 40 ER-subtype-specific loci was validated in silico using an independent, publicly available methylome dataset from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA). In addition, 100 methylated CpG loci were identified that were significantly associated with disease progression. Arrays containing the ER-subtype-specific loci and their use in methods of diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer are provided. | 08-07-2014 |

20150293764 | METHOD AND SYSTEM TO COMPOSE AND EXECUTE BUSINESS RULES - The present disclosure relates to a computer-implemented method. The computer-implemented method includes composing, with a processor, a plurality of business rules, maintaining, with the processor, a rules repository to store the plurality of business rules, executing, with the processor, the plurality of business rules at runtime, and dynamically refreshing, with the processor, one or more packages and one or more classes by utilizing an OSGi framework. The plurality of business rules run on at least one of a communication device, a cloud platform and a data centre. The plurality of business rules implements a plurality of business rules functions. The rules repository is updated dynamically with a change in the plurality of business rules. The executing is performed after dynamically compiling the plurality of business rules in java to java classes having a byte code. The OSGi framework dynamically refreshes changed rules from a java byte code. | 10-15-2015 |

20140040692 | ERROR PREDICTION IN LOGIC AND MEMORY DEVICES - Potential errors that might result from operating logic and/or memory circuits at an insufficient operating voltage are identified by electrically altering nodes of replica or operational circuits so that the electrically altered nodes are susceptible to errors. The electrically altered nodes in an embodiment are controlled using parametric drivers. A minimized operating voltage can be selected by operating at a marginal operating voltage and detecting a voltage threshold at which errors in the electrically altered nodes are detected, for example. | 02-06-2014 |
20140047197 | MULTIPORT MEMORY EMULATION USING SINGLE-PORT MEMORY DEVICES - A multiport memory emulator receives first and a second memory commands for concurrent processing of memory commands in one operation clock cycle. Data operands are stored in a memory array of bitcells that is arranged as rows and memory banks. An auxiliary memory bank provides a bitcell for physically storing an additional word for each row. The bank address portion of each of the first and second memory commands is respectively translated into a first and second physical bank address. The second physical bank address is assigned a bank address of a bank that is currently unused in response to a determination that the bank address portions are equal and the bank associated with the first bank address is designated as a currently unused bank for subsequently received memory commands in response to the determination that the bank address portions are equal. Simultaneous read and write operations are possible. | 02-13-2014 |
