20090053036Systems and Methods for Extending Gas Turbine Emissions Compliance - A gas turbine system for operation at low loads. The gas turbine system may include a number of inlet guide vanes, a compressor, a turbine, and an air movement system for maintaining an emission from the gas turbine system below a predetermined level.02-26-2009
20110072779SYSTEM AND METHOD USING LOW EMISSIONS GAS TURBINE CYCLE WITH PARTIAL AIR SEPARATION - A system and method of reducing gas turbine nitric oxide emissions includes a first combustion stage configured to burn air vitiated with diluents to generate first combustion stage products. A second combustion stage is configured to burn the first combustion stage products in combination with enriched oxygen to generate second combustion stage products having a lower level of nitric oxide emissions than that achievable through combustion with vitiated air alone or through combustion staging alone.03-31-2011
20120023952FUEL NOZZLE AND ASSEMBLY AND GAS TURBINE COMPRISING THE SAME - A nozzle for assemblies and gas turbines is provided. The nozzle exhibits destabilized flame holding characteristics, i.e., the nozzle is unable to stabilize flame up to an equivalence ratio of about 0.65. As a result, flame heat release is delayed resulting in lower peak flame temperatures and correspondingly lower NOx levels. Flame stabilization capability is retained for higher equivalence ratios to support operation of the combustor in other regions of the load range.02-02-2012
20120131923SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREMIXER WAKE AND VORTEX FILLING FOR ENHANCED FLAME-HOLDING RESISTANCE - A combustion system premixer includes one or more streamwise vortex generators configured to passively redirect surrounding high velocity air into at least one of wake and vortex regions within a combustion system fuel nozzle in response to air passing through the premixer. The streamwise vortex generators operate to minimize turbulent flow structures, thus improving air/fuel mixing, and enhancing resistance to flame-holding and flash-back within the premixer.05-31-2012

20100241940Trail-Based Data Content Discovery, Organization, and Processing - Embodiments described herein include a trail generator for implementing a content trail associated with selected data pages. The trail generator retrieves references to data pages selected from the Internet from storage and generates a content trail for the data pages selected from the Internet. The content trail is generated using the references by organizing the references into a user-defined, ordered sequence in the content trail and interconnecting the reference using user-assigned relationships to define at least one path in the content trail that is navigable by a viewer.09-23-2010
20100241951Generating Formatted Documents Based on Collected Data Content - Embodiments described herein include a document generator, which is implemented using a computing system with one or more computing devices, to generate a formatted document associated with a collection of data page units. The document generator or can include a collector, an organization unit, and a formatting unit. The collector facilitates collecting data page units in response to a user selection. The data page units are collected intact and in their original format and are associated with a first ordered sequence. The organization unit facilitates re-sequencing the data page units to associate the data page units with a second ordered sequence. The formatting unit facilitates outputting a formatted document incorporating the collected data page units in the second ordered sequence.09-23-2010
20110238632VALIDATING AGGREGATE DOCUMENTS - Embodiments described herein are directed to validating an aggregate document. An instance signature can be generated for a first instance of a data page retrieved for inclusion in the aggregate document and can be compared to a baseline signature associated with a second instance of the data page. A similarity value can be calculated in response to the comparison. The similarity value indicates a degree of similarity between the first instance and the second instance of the data page. Based on the similarity value it can be determined whether to delete or bypass the data page in the aggregate document.09-29-2011
20120109957GENERATING A SUBSET AGGREGATE DOCUMENT FROM AN EXISTING AGGREGATE DOCUMENT - Embodiments described herein are directed to generating a subset aggregate document from an existing aggregate document. Data pages in an existing aggregate document that satisfy node selection criteria are identified. An aggregate document slice is created that includes the data pages that satisfy the node selection criteria. Connections between the data pages from the existing aggregate document to the aggregate document slice are imported to form at least one continuous path with the data pages.05-03-2012

20080275840SELECTIVE DATABASE STATISTICS RECOLLECTION - The subject mater herein relates to database management and, more particularly, to selective database statistics recollection. Various embodiments provide one or more of system, methods, and software that identify database column and index states when statistics become stale to a point where query execution plans against respective columns and indexes fail to be efficient. These and other embodiments provide a way to update column and index statistics only when the statistics are determined to be stale. As a result, adverse database performance as a result of needless updating of database statistics is mitigated.11-06-2008
20090063396TECHNIQUES FOR PARTITIONING INDEXES - Techniques for partitioning indexes are provided. A predefined data type associated with a column of a database table is acquired. Column value statistics for the column are acquired. The values are analyzed to produce multiple partitions for the values. Each partition includes each of the values and each partition includes multiple groupings of the values. Also, each grouping of a particular partition includes a subset or range of the values. Furthermore, each grouping of a partition includes a same distribution for the values as other groupings of that partition. Each partition represents a potential partitioning index for the column and its values.03-05-2009
20090248557METHOD FOR AGGREGATING AND ANALYZING CONSUMER BUSINESS DATA - A method and system of aggregating consumer business data such as transactions between a consumer and a pluralityy of vendors. The method includes receiving a request from a consumer to maintain consumer business data in a data warehouse. An electronic receipt is received from a vendor following conclusion of a transaction between the consumer and the vendor. A report is generated at the request of the consumer. The report is provided to the consumer.10-01-2009
20100106708Eliminating unnecessary statistics collections for query optimization - A method and system for eliminating unnecessary statistics collections for query optimization in a database stored on a computer. Statistics are unnecessary when a re-generated query execution plan that does not use the statistics is equivalent to an original query execution plan that uses the statistics. To determine this, an original query execution plan is created for each query in a specified workload using the statistics in the database. A search is performed of the statistics in order to enumerate one or more candidate sets of statistics to be eliminated. One or more of the candidate sets of statistics are removed from consideration prior to creating the re-generated query execution plan for each query in the specified workload. The re-generated query execution plan, which was created with one or more of the candidate sets of statistics removed from consideration, is compared with the original query execution plan, which was created using the statistics, in order to determine whether the re-generated query execution plan and the original query execution plan are equivalent. The one or more of the candidate sets of statistics removed from consideration are identified as unnecessary when the re-generated query execution plan and the original query execution plan are equivalent.04-29-2010
20100169302SYSTEM, METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM FOR GROUPING DATABASE LEVEL OBJECT ACCESS COUNTS PER PROCESSING MODULE IN A PARALLEL PROCESSING SYSTEM - A system, method, and computer-readable medium for grouping of database object access counts per processing module in a parallel processing system are provided. Each processing module manages an intermediate cache allocated thereto that stores database object access counts local to the respective processing module. The processing modules are configured in a hierarchical configuration and processing modules at the lowest level of the configuration forward their respective intermediate cache to a processing module configured as a parent to the respective processing module. On receipt of intermediate cache(s) from lower level processing modules, a processing module merges the received intermediate caches with the intermediate cache allocated to the processing module. The process is iteratively repeated until a root processing module receives the intermediate caches from processing modules configured as child nodes thereto. The root processing module merges the received intermediate cache(s) with the root processing module's intermediate cache thereby generating a final cache. An objects access count data structure is then generated by the root processing module. The object access count data structure of the final cache includes data blocks of object access counts where each data block is associated with a particular access module processor (AMP). The data blocks may then be forwarded to the associated AMPs.07-01-2010
