20090184556 | HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE HEAD RESTRAINT FOR A VEHICLE SEAT - A vehicle seat head restraint assembly is provided with a stop mounted to a rod of a vehicle seat back. A frame is mounted to the rod to slide therealong. A head restraint is mounted to the frame. A shaft cooperates with the stop and the frame and includes a series of notches and the stop includes at least one projection that engages the notches in a locked rotary position of the shaft. The projection is disengaged from the notches in a released rotary position of the shaft. The shaft has a cam and an actuator has a follower arrangement for releasing the shaft to slide the head restraint frame along the rod. A head restraint assembly is also provided wherein the series of notches and the projection cooperate such that height adjustment in an upward direction only is permitted without actuation of the actuator. | 07-23-2009 |
20100259087 | SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING A MULTI-POSITION HEAD RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY - A seat assembly having a seat back, a support post extending from the seat back, and a headrest pivotally disposed on the support post. The headrest has a lower headrest portion, an upper headrest portion extending from the lower headrest portion, and a hinge clip that pivotally couples the headrest to the support post. The headrest is inhibited from pivoting about an axis of rotation in a first rotational direction when the lower headrest portion engages the support post. | 10-14-2010 |
20100270842 | SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING A MOVABLE HEAD RESTRAINT - An adjustable head restraint assembly is provided with a support rod adapted to be mounted proximate to a vehicle seat back. A primary frame is supported on the support rod. A secondary frame is mounted to the primary frame for translation in a fore and aft direction. A locking arm is pivotally connected to one of the frames for engagement with a series of notches formed in the other. A biasing member cooperates with a locking arm for biasing the locking arm into a locked position. An actuator pivots the locking arm out of engagement from the series of notches for unlocking the locking arm and permitting adjustment of the adjustable head restraint in the fore and aft direction. The primary frame translates along the support rod with a locking arm for engagement with notches in the support rod for movement by the actuator for adjustment in an upright direction. | 10-28-2010 |
20110089737 | SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE HEAD RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY - A seat assembly that includes a seat back, a support post disposed on the seat back, and a headrest moveably disposed on the support post. The headrest includes first and second transverse members disposed on the support post and a spindle assembly rotatably associated with the first and second transverse members. The spindle assembly rotates to permit movement of the headrest. | 04-21-2011 |
20110187174 | SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING A MOVEABLE HEAD RESTRAINT ASSEMBLY - A seat assembly having a seat back, a support post disposed on the seat back, and a head restraint assembly disposed on the support post. The head restraint assembly includes a rear portion moveably disposed on the support post and a front portion pivotally disposed on the rear portion. The front portion pivots with respect to the rear portion independent of movement of the rear portion along the support post. | 08-04-2011 |
20120007403 | SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING A GUIDE BUSHING - A seat assembly having a guide bushing. The guide bushing has a body and a biasing member. The body has an opening for receiving a support post and first and second engagement features that are configured to flex. The biasing member exerts a biasing force on the first and second engagement features to bias the first and second engagement features. | 01-12-2012 |
20120007404 | SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING A BUTTON ASSEMBLY - A seat assembly having a button assembly. The button assembly includes a bezel having a ramp feature and a button having a feedback arm that engages the ramp feature. Movement of at least a portion of a seat component is permitted when sufficient force is applied to the button. | 01-12-2012 |
20120056451 | RETRACTABLE HEAD RESTRAINT FOR A VEHICLE SEAT - A vehicle seat includes a bracket for mounting to a vehicle body. A seat back frame is pivotally connected to the bracket for movement between an upright position and a collapsed position. A head restraint is mounted to the seat back frame to translate relative to the frame. A transmission is connected to the bracket, the frame and the head restraint to provide a geared engagement between the head restraint and the bracket such that translation of the head restraint relative to the seat back frame is a direct relationship of a pivotal position of the seat back frame relative to the bracket in order to extend the head restraint at the upright position and to retract the head restraint in the collapsed position. | 03-08-2012 |
20130069412 | SEAT ASSEMBLY HAVING A GUIDE BUSHING - A seat assembly having a guide bushing. The guide bushing has an opening for receiving a support post. First and second engagement features are provided that are configured to engage the support post. The first engagement feature is configured to flex in response to a biasing force exerted by a biasing member. | 03-21-2013 |
