20110150579CONTINUOUS CHAMBER MASS CONFINEMENT CELLS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF - The present invention relates to mass confinement cells that may be used in retaining walls and earth retention systems that has a natural earthen appearance or other aesthetic design and is resistant to damage and wear caused by the environment. The mass confinement cells are generally light-weight and include a continuous chamber that at least partially aligns with confinement cells positioned above and below, thereby allowing the intermingling of fill material between adjacent cells. The mass confinement cells are capable of accepting and retaining any type of filling material. The filling material provides weight, stability and security to a retaining wall constructed of such mass confinement cells.06-23-2011

20120121382LASER MAINTENANCE TOOL - In one form a maintenance device includes a flexible member with an inspection end sized to be inserted through an inspection port of a workpiece such as a gas turbine engine or a blade of a gas turbine engine. The maintenance device includes a directed energy member that in one form is configured to produce a double pulse laser with an interval time between a first one of the pulses and a second one of the pulses greater than the time of either the first one of the pulses or the second one of the pulses. The first one of the pulses is sufficiently powerful to produce a quantity of debris upon irradiation of the workpiece. The debris produced from the first one of the pulses can be evaporated by the second one of the pulses to eliminate and/or reduce a recast layer on the workpiece.05-17-2012

20120084593METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A CURRENT TIME VALUE - A method for providing applications with a current time value includes receiving a trap for an application to access a time memory page, creating, in a memory map corresponding to the application, a mapping between an address space of the application and the time memory page in response to the trap, accessing, based on the trap, a hardware clock to obtain a time value, and updating the time memory page with the time value. The application reads the time value from the time memory page using the memory map.04-05-2012

20090072912OSCILLATOR SIGNAL GENERATION WITH SPUR MITIGATION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION DEVICE - Techniques for generating oscillator signals in a wireless communication device are described. A phase-locked loop (PLL) may be used to generate an oscillator signal for a selected frequency channel. Different PLL settings may be used for the blocks in the PLL for different frequency channels. The different PLL settings may be for different PLL loop bandwidths, different amounts of charge pump current, different frequency equations associated with different sets of high and low divider ratios, different frequency division schemes associated with different prescaler ratios and/or different integer divider ratios, high side or low side injection for a super-heterodyne receiver or transmitter, and/or different supply voltages for one or more circuit blocks such as an oscillator. A suitable set of PLL settings may be selected for each frequency channel such that adverse impact due to spurs can be mitigated.03-19-2009
20090276639DYNAMIC FREQUENCY SCALING OF A SWITCHED MODE POWER SUPPLY - System(s) and method(s) are provided for dynamically scaling switching frequencies and clock sources of switched mode power supplies (SMPSs) in a mobile station. Switching frequency is scaled to an optimal value in response to at least one of (i) a change in mode of operation for wireless communication employed by the mobile station, an additional mode of operation is triggered, (ii) a change in operation conditions of a set of loads associated with functionality of the mobile is determined, or (iii) an LO spur set-off by a SMPS in the presence of an interference signal with a frequency splitting from an operational band that matches the SMPS frequency or at least one of its harmonics. Switching frequencies can be selected from a lookup table, or through an analysis of switching frequencies available to the mobile and operational criteria. A set of clock sources can provide an ensemble of switching frequencies.11-05-2009
20100316098APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC SCALING OF ADC SAMPLING RATE TO AVOID RECEIVER INTERFERENCE - A method and apparatus for avoiding receiver interference is described herein. One or more potential interferers are determined and the frequency associated with the interferers is also determined A desired sampling frequency for the receiver is calculated to avoid the potential interferers.12-16-2010

20100207330NONPENETRATING ARCHERY TARGET AND ARROW TIP - An arrow tip and target system, including a tip having a removable marking material integral with an end surface of the tip, and a target. An arrow for marking a target, including a shaft and a tip fixedly mounted thereon, the tip including a removable marking material integral with an end surface of the tip. A tip for attachment to an arrow, including a removable marking material integral with an end surface of the tip. A kit including a target, arrow tips, marking material, games, and rules for the games. A method of playing a game with an arrow tip and target system by attaching a tip including removable marking material to an arrow, launching the arrow towards a target according to the game being played, contacting the tip with the target, and removably marking the target.08-19-2010
