20090283929System and method of agglomerating, resultant product and method of backing a liner the agglomerator - A new system and method for making agglomerates from material like wet chopped glass fiber strand segments is disclosed and the agglomerates so produced. Agglomerates, made by feeding wet chopped fiber strand segments into a wave chamber having a vibrating curved surface supporting a curved, dimpled liner working surface have improved density and flow characteristics compared with dry chopped strands, but it was discovered that the dimpled liner flexes during operation during vibration causing undesirable variation in properties like agglomerate size. In the invention the dimpled liner is backed up with a substantially non-compressible material and this results in agglomerates that have even better uniformity of flow and agglomerate diameters. Typical backing materials include a particulate material, an elastomer, a rididized elastomer, slurry or liquid, or wire or slivers of metal.11-19-2009

20090194248METHOD OF OPERATING A DIE CASTING RECIPROCATOR - A method for operating an automated reciprocator for applying lubricant in a die casting system. As a reciprocator is moved between two die halves and a fluid is applied to the dies with the reciprocator, a safety bar is moved ahead of the reciprocator. Any objects in the path of the reciprocator are detected by contact with the safety bar. If the safety bar contacts an object as the reciprocator is moving down, a sensor signals a control system and the reciprocator is stopped.08-06-2009

20080313076DOWNSTREAM CORRESPONDENT FOREIGN EXCHANGE (FX) BANKING - Systems and methods that enable real-time (or almost real-time) foreign exchange (FX) pricing via retail branch networks, wire room operations and cash management platforms are provided. Essentially, the systems and methods decouple the FX-infrastructure and enable downstream banks to effectively and efficiently access FX transaction services and infrastructure without the need to locally manage such an FX platform. In doing so, an FX generation component is employed in connection with standard downstream mechanisms to provide necessary information to a partner FX processing component. The partner FX processing component conveys information to the downstream environment while shielding the downstream entity from risks and costs involved in FX operations.12-18-2008

20130036344INTELLIGENT LINK POPULATION AND RECOMMENDATION - Computer apparatus, system and method maintain a database of hyperlinks associated with activities and inactions in the past of a user. From a current work space of the user, a recommendation engine searches the database to retrieve hyperlinks based on user-specified context and topic. The recommendation engine displays recommended hyperlinks (candidates) and enables the user to filter the recommended hyperlinks by original source, activity metric or other relevance. To form and maintain the database, a context analysis engine captures activity content links. Each activity content link has a respective hyperlink associated with an activity/inaction of the user. The context analysis engine generates a metric based on the activity and records the respective hyperlink in the database along with the metric. The recommendation engine and context analysis engine may, on user command, further search social media or social networks in order to make hyperlink recommendations to the user.02-07-2013
