The bottle is delivered to the inspection station by a conveyor, which includes structure for engaging the sidewall of the bottle. The invention is an object to be inspected by such an inspection machine, which includes a container like adaptor having a vertical axis, and configured for handling by the conveyor structure so that when the container like adaptor engages the structure, the conveyor will deliver the container like adaptor to the inspection station. The container like adaptor has a horizontal top surface and a vertical axis, and a magnet is mounted in the top surface having a centering axis coincident with the vertical axis of the container like adaptor. The object to be inspected additionally includes a transparent bottle located on top of the magnet having metallic material in the bottom portion thereof so that the magnet will operate on the metallic material to locate the axis of the transparent bottle coincident with the centering axis of the magnet. | 06-11-2009 |
20110247720 | Machine For Testing Container Capacity - An inspection machine for inspecting the volume of liquid contained by a bottle filed to its defined fill height. A head is lowered and has a sealing plate which seals the open finish of a bottle. A fill tube assembly is part of the head and continues to be lowered until a level sensor is located to sense liquid at a pre-fill level. High and low pressure water lines which are a part of the fill tube assembly are operated to fill the bottle to the pre-fill level. The sealing plate is released and then the process is repeated lowering the sensor to the post-fill level and operating only the low-pressure line to fill the bottle to the post-fill level. The total liquid filling the bottle is then computed. | 10-13-2011 |

20140207947 | METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ONLINE EVENTS - Provided are methods and systems for determining whether an online event has been completed by a user. A website or other interactive service maintains user activity data reflective of the activities of its users. A failure analysis component analyzes the user activity data to automatically detect likely failure events. An event filtering component intelligently accesses information from unrelated websites, interactive services, and/or offline services to determine whether an event was successfully completed by a user. One or more communications are sent to the user for select failure and successful events, preferably taking into consideration information about the event itself and information about the particular user. Such communications present the user with information about the same event or other possible events that are related to the original event that the user might be interested in completing. | 07-24-2014 |

20130087507 | USE OF CACTUS MUCILAGE AS A DISPERSANT AND ABSORBANT FOR OIL IN OIL-WATER MIXTURES - Despite advances in off-shore oil exploration and drilling technology, accidental oil spills do occur. Depending on their magnitude and location, irreparable damage may be inflicted on marine and coastal ecosystems. Emulsification of a water/surfactant /oil system results in the production of oil droplets and this depends on the formulation and composition variables, mixing characteristics and system preparation. Thus, research is ongoing on improving methods of cleaning up oil spills. Cactus mucilage was used to disperse and absorb oil from a simulated oil slick in different salt concentrations. Results show correlations between emulsion properties and interfacial characteristics of mucilage as function of aqueous phase salinity. Mucilage powder added to the oil floating on the water dispersed the oil film and absorbed the oil while remaining afloat, facilitates removal of the oil-mucilage aggregate. This invention is a competitive treatment for oil spill remediation with the added advantage of being more environmentally friendly. | 04-11-2013 |

20140124021 | MICROSTRUCTURED CRYSTALLINE DEVICE IN CONFINED SPACE, A DYE-SENSITIZED SOLAR CELL, AND METHOD OF PREPARATION THEREOF - A method of forming an ordered nanorods array in a confined space is used to form a high surface area device where an ensemble of parallel trenches has micrometer dimensions for the width and depth of the trenches, which are decorated with crystalline nanowires radiating from the sidewalls and bases of the trenches. The high surface area device is formed by depositing a conformal crystalline seed coating in the trenches, forming microchannels from these trenches by placing a barrier layer on the open surface of the trenches, contacting the conformal coating with a crystal precursor solution that is caused to flow through the microchannels. In an embodiment, a very high surface area electrode is constructed with ZnO nanowires radiating from the sidewalls and base of trenches formed on a silicon substrate. The device can be a dye-sensitized solar cell. | 05-08-2014 |

20100267735 | METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS TO ENHANCE THE EFFICACY OF PHOSPHODIESTERASE INHIBITORS - Methods for treatment of sexual dysfunction in men and women using combination of phosphodiesterase (PDE) type 5 inhibitors and 1-deprenyl or propargylamine compounds are described. Methods of reducing the dosage and preventing the side effects of PDE type5 inhibitors are also described. The methods comprise administering a therapeutically effect amount of 1-deprenyl or propargylamine compounds (also called monoamine oxidase [MAO] inhibitors) in combination with PDE inhibitors. Stimulation of nitric oxide production and vasodilation by 1-deprenyl and propargylamine compounds augments the actions of PDE inhibitors or other drugs and methods used in the treatment of sexual dysfunction. The composition described here enhances the actions of PDE inhibitors primarily by increasing the generation of cyclic GMP by stimulating the nitric oxide pathway and secondarily by providing several additional benefits such as enhanced dopamine activity. Methods of enhancing the efficacy of various PDE inhibitors in the treatment of a number of disorders other than sexual dysfunction are also disclosed. | 10-21-2010 |
