20090154351NETWORK SCHEDULER FOR SELECTIVELY SUPPORTING WORK CONSERVING MODE AND NETWORK SCHEDULING METHOD THEREOF - Provided are a network scheduler and a network scheduling method capable of effectively managing network bandwidths by selectively supporting a work conserving mode to network entities by using an improved token bucket scheme. The network scheduler selectively supports a work conserving mode to network scheduling units (NSUs) serving as network entities by using a token bucket scheme, such that the network scheduler ensures an allocated network bandwidth or enables the NSUs to use a remaining bandwidth. The network scheduler manages the NSUs by classifying the NSUs into a green state, a red state, a yellow state, and a black state according to a token value, a selection/non-selection of the work conserving mode, and an existence/non-existence of the packet request to be processed.06-18-2009
20090158385Apparatus and method for automatically generating SELinux security policy based on selt - Provided is an apparatus and method for automatically generating a SELinux security policy based on SELT. In the method, process generation is prepared by receiving execution file names of a program destined for policy generation. A system call log, which is traced by generating a process by executing the received execution file of the program, is stored. The traced system call log is purified into data necessary for generation of a security policy. Objects are grouped in consideration of the relationship between the objects based on purified information. A normalized data structure is recorded in an SELT description language format using a security policy file. Duplication and collision between the generated SELT security policy and the previous security policy in a system are detected.06-18-2009
20100228886METHOD AND SYSTEM USING RANGE BANDWIDTH FOR CONTROLLING DISK I/O - Provided are a method and a system for controlling a disk input/output (I/O). The method includes detecting the number of consumed tokens that are the processing units of the disk I/O. Also, the method includes assigning a time slice that is a duration for processing the disk I/O according to the number of the consumed tokens using a preset minimum disk I/O bandwidth and a preset maximum disk I/O bandwidth.09-09-2010
20100228895DATA TRANSFER APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD USING THE SAME - A data transfer apparatus, system and method using the same are provided. A data transfer system according to an exemplary embodiment includes a user process space, a kernel space and a hardware space. A plurality of user processes are executed in the user process space. The kernel space includes a kernel thread. The hardware space performs an input/output according to the input/output request of the each user process. When input data based on the input request are received to the hardware space, the data transfer system checks whether the user process requesting the input is in an execution state, and allows the kernel thread to copy the input data from the kernel space to the user process space when the user process is in the execution state.09-09-2010
20100287412SOFTWARE RELIABILITY TEST METHOD USING SELECTIVE FAULT ACTIVATION, TEST AREA RESTRICTION METHOD, WORKLOAD GENERATION METHOD AND COMPUTING APPARATUS FOR TESTING SOFTWARE RELIABILITY USING THE SAME - Provided are a software reliability test method using selective fault activation, a test area restriction method, a workload generation method and a computing apparatus for testing software reliability using the same. The software reliability test method registers a test target module. The software reliability test method injects a fault into a fault injection target function when a caller of the fault injection target function is included in the registered module, in a case of calling the fault injection target function.11-11-2010
20100287535SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TESTING SOFTWARE RELIABILITY USING FAULT INJECTION - A software reliability test system is provided. The software reliability test system includes a fault injection system and a workload generation system. The fault injection system creates a fault injection delegate to inject a fault into software selected as a test target from software of a target system. The workload generation system generates a workload in the selected software according to a control of the fault injection system to allow the fault injection delegate to inject the fault into the selected software.11-11-2010
20110047553APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INPUT/OUTPUT PROCESSING OF MULTI-THREAD - Provided sets a limit of execution threads which can be simultaneously processes in an input/output system and compares the number of threads which are being currently executed with the limit of execution threads at the time of requesting an input/output event from a thread and manages a job of processing the input/output event in accordance with the comparison result. The apparatus for asynchronous input/output processing of a multi-thread according to the present invention restricts the number of threads which are processed in the asynchronous input/output system as many as the limit of execution threads to prevent deterioration of performance caused due to context switching overhead of the thread and efficiently manage the thread.02-24-2011
20120151175MEMORY APPARATUS FOR COLLECTIVE VOLUME MEMORY AND METHOD FOR MANAGING METADATA THEREOF - Disclosed are a memory apparatus for a collective volume memory and a method for managing metadata thereof. The memory apparatus for a collective volume memory includes a CVM (Collective Volume Memory) command tool configured to provide a command tool for CVM operation and translate a command input by a user to control the CVM operation; and a CVM engine configured to perform at least one of CVM configuration and initialization, and CVM allocation and access according to data transmitted from the CVM command tool.06-14-2012
