20150018920 | MEDICAL LEADS HAVING FORCED STRAIN RELIEF LOOPS - Strain relief loops are forced by being formed into medical leads such that a body of the lead imposes a force to regain the loop if the loop has been disturbed. Because the strain relief loop is forced, the surgeon implanting the medical lead is not required to create the strain relief loop as a step in the implantation procedure. Forcing the strain relief loop ensures that the strain relief is achieved. The forced strain relief loop also ensures that the loop is present to reduce heating at the electrodes of the medical caused by exposure to excessive radiofrequency energy. The forced strain relief loop may be created by heating the lead body while held in the loop configuration by a mold to cause the loop configuration to persist once the medical lead is removed from the mold. | 01-15-2015 |

20150073518 | PAIRED MEDICAL LEAD BODIES WITH BRAIDED CONDUCTIVE SHIELDS HAVING DIFFERENT PHYSICAL PARAMETER VALUES - Medical lead bodies that are paired each include a braided conductive shield. The braided conductive shield of one lead body has a value for a physical parameter that differs from a value for the physical parameter of the second lead body. The difference in values of the physical parameter for the paired lead bodies results in a reduction in heating from exposure of the lead bodies to radiofrequency energy at electrodes associated with the lead bodies. The lead bodies may be paired by being implanted adjacently to one another. The lead bodies may be further paired by being coupled to a same distal body, such as a paddle containing the electrodes. | 03-12-2015 |

20100075009 | FROZEN JUICE PREPARATION AND PRESENTATION - The present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for the rapid preparation of a drink from a frozen liquid which contains high concentrations of nutrients. The method involves increasing the surface area of the frozen liquid and adding the increased area of frozen juice to a suitable amount of additional liquid and allowing it to mix. The apparatus for preparing a drink from the frozen liquid includes a means for increasing the surface area of the frozen liquid by breaking the frozen liquid into a plurality of pieces, and a means for dispensing the plurality of pieces of the frozen liquid into a serving container. Preferably, the apparatus also includes a means for passing an additional liquid through the means for increasing the surface area of the frozen liquid and the means for dispensing the frozen liquid to wash out any residual frozen liquid in the apparatus into the serving container. | 03-25-2010 |

20100287222 | Monitoring Communications Using a Unified Communications Protocol - According to particular embodiments, a communications monitoring system includes agent servers that deploy automated agents into various group communications services and a central server that receives the event data collected by the automated agents using the unified communications protocol. The central server also transmits the event data and any alerts that were determined from the event data to operator interfaces according to operator profiles. | 11-11-2010 |
20100287226 | Bridging Communications Between Communication Services Using Different Protocols - According to particular embodiments, a system for bridging communications includes agent servers that deploy monitoring agents into source communication services where the monitoring agents collect events in a native communication protocol of the source communication service. The agent servers select events for relaying and translate those events into a native communication protocol of the destination communication service. In addition, the agent servers deploy relay agents into destination communication services to relay the translated events to the destination communication service. | 11-11-2010 |
20100287293 | Playback Communications Using a Unified Communications Protocol - According to particular embodiments, a system for outputting prerecorded communications includes a central server that receives playback instructions, retrieves event data from a database according to the playback instructions, and outputs events from the event data to an agent server according to the timing characteristics associated with the events, and the agent server that deploys playback agents into the target group communication service to submit events to the target group communication service. | 11-11-2010 |

20100195361 | Photovoltaic power plant with distributed DC-to-DC power converters - A solar photovoltaic plant is disclosed where a number of distributed DC-to-DC converters are used in conjunction with a central DC-to-AC converter. Each DC-to-DC converter is dedicated to a portion of the photovoltaic array and tracks the maximum power point voltage thereof. The DC-to-DC converters also boost the photovoltaic voltage and regulate a DC output current for transmission to the central DC-to-AC converter. Five distinct advantages are had over the prior art. First, efficiencies in intra-field power collection are greatly improved by transferring power at higher DC voltages. Second, the number of independent photovoltaic maximum power point trackers in the power plant can be increased, in a cost effective manner, to optimize the overall photovoltaic array energy harvest. Third, each DC-to-DC converter output “looks” like a current source at the input of the DC-to-AC converter and therefore can be easily paralleled. Fourth, the current source nature of the DC-to-DC converter outputs enables the DC-to-AC converter to operate with a minimum, fixed DC bus voltage to provide maximum DC-to-AC power conversion efficiencies. And fifth, each distributed DC-to-DC converter can isolate a faulted portion of the photovoltaic array while the remainder of the array continues producing power. | 08-05-2010 |

20150113404 | Publishing Media Content to Virtual Movie Theatres - Some embodiments of the invention provide a virtual staging area for presenting media content. The virtual staging area of some embodiments is formed by staging areas of multiple different devices in which a same set of content can be viewed. To provide a common viewing experience, the staging areas are presented in a similar manner across different types of user devices. Each staging area may be presented as a virtual movie theatre that has movie posters that advertise user content. A sharing service operates on each of the different devices to facilitate the virtual staging area. The sharing service of some embodiments allows a person to choose a piece of content stored on a device. The sharing service then publishes the content to the device's staging area. From there, the content is then distributed across to the person's other devices. | 04-23-2015 |

20110219110 | System and Method for Managing the Delivery of Targeted Content - A system and method for managing the delivery of targeted content. When a user desires to opt-out of receiving targeted content, the user registers with a do-not-target (DNT) registry and is issued a DNT cookie. The DNT cookie is a domain cookie that is stored on a user network access device. A provider of targeted content may look for the DNT cookie stored on the user's network access device. When the DNT cookie is not found, then the provider may deliver targeted content to the user. When the DNT cookie is found, then the provider may not deliver targeted content to the user. A Web site may offer the user an “override” cookie that allows that Web site to provide targeted content, or selected targeted content, even when the user has a DNT cookie. Alternatively, a DNT header can be added to a Web page request that indicates that the user does not want to receive targeted content. The DNT header may be overridden by an override cookie. | 09-08-2011 |
