20150064265 | Vehicles for Controlled Delivery of Different Pharmaceutical Agents - A “nanolipogel” is a delivery vehicle including one or more lipid layer surrounding a hydrogel core, which may include an absorbent such as a cyclodextrin or ion-exchange resin. Nanolipogels can be constructed so as to incorporate a variety of different chemical entities that can subsequently be released in a controlled fashion. These different incorporated chemical entities can differ dramatically with respect to size and composition. Nanolipogels have been constructed to contain co-encapsulated proteins as well as small hydrophobic drugs within the interior of the lipid bilayer. Agents incorporated within nanolipogels can be released into the milieu in a controlled fashion, for example, nanolipogels provide a means of achieving simultaneous sustained release of agents that differ widely in chemical composition and molecular weight. Additionally, nanolipogels can favorably modulate biodistribution. | 03-05-2015 |

20100211439 | Method and System for Predicting Audience Viewing Behavior - The present invention is directed to a method and system for predicting the behavior of an audience based on the biologically based responses of the audience to a presentation that provides a sensory stimulating experience and determining a measure of the level and pattern of engagement of that audience to the presentation. In particular, the invention is directed to a method and system for predicting whether an audience is likely to view a presentation in its entirety. In addition, the present invention may be used to determine the point at which an audience is likely to change their attention to an alternative sensory stimulating experience including fast forwarding through recorded content, changing the channel or leaving the room when viewing live content, or otherwise redirecting their engagement from the sensory stimulating experience. | 08-19-2010 |

20140380340 | Dependency Based Configuration Package Activation - An update platform is described that collectively handles driver and firmware updates for hardware resources of a computing device based on dependencies associated with the updates. The update platform may instantiate representations of each individual hardware resource as abstractions through which detection, analysis, acquisition, deployment, installation, and tracking of updates is managed. Using the representations, the update platform discovers available updates, matches configuration packages for the updates to appropriate resources, and initiates installation of the configuration packages. The update platform is further configured to recognize dependencies associated with the configuration packages. When dependencies are detected, corresponding configuration packages are marked to reflect the dependencies and activation is suspended until the dependencies are satisfied. Upon satisfaction of the dependencies, the dependencies are cleared and the configuration packages are activated. Configuration packages that are not associated with dependencies may be installed and activated “normally” at any time. | 12-25-2014 |

20120144390 | CUSTOMIZED COMPUTER IMAGE PREPARATION AND DEPLOYMENT INCLUDING VIRTUAL MACHINE MODE - A computer-implemented technique significantly reduces the time required to configure software images deployed from a golden reference machine to destination machines. Time is saved by applying a priori knowledge of the configuration of the intended destination machines and omitting normally run configuration steps known to be non-essential or irrelevant to the destination machines. This technique is particularly advantageous when the destination machines are virtual machines, as time-consuming commands for configuring hardware on the destination machines can be avoided. | 06-07-2012 |

20130326913 | RECONFIGURABLE SHOE - A hinge member incorporated between a footbed toe plate and footbed arch plate allowing a shoe to be configured as a flat or heeled shoe. The footbed toe plate and footbed arch plate are rotatably joined via one or more hinge pins inserted through interlaced teeth of each plate. A spring-biased hinge lock extending between the two plates is controlled by a spring-biased pin in positioned with a notch selectively receiving the hinge lock such that the hinge lock disengages said footbed arch plate allowing said footbed arch plate to rotate relative to said footbed toe plate. The heel block includes a spring-biased heel lock extending into a removable heel and is controlled by a spring-biased pin positioned with a notch selectively receiving the hinge lock such that the hinge lock disengages said heel allowing said heel to be freely removed from said heel block. | 12-12-2013 |

20110028902 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PUMPING INTRAVENOUS FLUID - An intravenous fluid pump (IV) contains a disposable part including a fluid chamber having a resilient top membrane and a non-disposable part including a piston abutting a resilient membrane and a vacuum chamber fitted on top of the resilient top membrane. An external pump is used to create vacuum in the vacuum chamber, resulting in the resilient top membrane being held taut. The flow rate through the pump is relatively independent of changes in the pressure of IV fluid on the upstream and the downstream due to changes in the relative elevation of the fluid reservoir and the patient with respect to the fluid pump. | 02-03-2011 |
