The apparatus includes: a voice quality change estimation unit (10-15-2009
20090270753Device and Method For Deciding Necessity Of Brainwave Identification - In a system having an interface which utilizes electroencephalogram, it is determined whether the user was looking at a menu or not based on the frequency of the user electroencephalogram, and the electroencephalogram is excluded from the subject of distinction in the case where the user is not looking at the menu.10-29-2009
20100004556BRAIN WAVE IDENTIFICATION METHOD ADJUSTING DEVICE AND METHOD - In a system having an interface that utilizes an electroencephalogram, there is realized a calibration which prevents overlooking of calibrational stimulations concerning the electroencephalogram and which is highly accurate.01-07-2010
20100106042CORRECTION DEVICE TO BE INCORPORATED INTO BRAIN WAVE INTERFACE SYSTEM, ITS METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM - An option which is considered to be desired by a user is determined by using an electroencephalogram interface (IF), and a determination error for the option is detected based on an electroencephalogram. If a determination error is detected, the option is corrected based on the electroencephalogram information which was used for the option determination.04-29-2010
20100145218ADJUSTMENT DEVICE, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR A BRAINWAVE IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM - In a system having an interface which utilizes an electroencephalogram, device operations which are not intended by the user are reduced.06-10-2010
20100160808INTERFACE SYSTEM UTILIZING MUSTICATORY ELECTROMYOGRAM - The interface system includes: an output section for visually presenting a manipulation menu for a device; a measurement section for measuring a masticatory electromyogram of a user; a menu presentation section for causing menu items of the manipulation menu to be presented in order via the output section; an amplitude calculation section for determining a maximum amplitude of a potential waveform of the masticatory electromyogram; a latency calculation section for determining a latency based on a point of highlighting each menu item as a starting point, the latency being an amount of time in which the potential waveform arrives at the maximum amplitude; and a determination section for determining whether the maximum amplitude is greater than a previously determined threshold value and the latency is approximately 200 ms or not. In accordance with the determination result of the determination section, the menu presentation section executes a process corresponding to the highlighted menu item.06-24-2010
20100317988ACTIVATION APPARATUS, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR BRAINWAVE INTERFACE SYSTEM - A brain wave interface (IF) is started up using user's brain wave signals. A brain wave IF system comprises a brain wave measuring portion for measuring brain wave signals, a function controlling portion which analyzes an event-related potential contained in brain signals and outputs a function control signal for controlling the function of the apparatus based on the analysis results, and an output portion for outputting the function control signal. A start-up device comprises a start-up judging portion and a stimulus-attention judging portion. The start-up judging portion transmits, to the output portion, a stimulus control signal for controlling presentation/extinction of a visual stimulus which is a single item in the output portion when the brain wave IF system is not working, and compares a value of a P200 component of the event-related potential starting on a presentation timing of a visual stimulus out of the brain wave signals acquired from the brain wave measuring portion with a predetermined threshold value to determine whether or not to output a start-up trigger to the function controlling portion based on the comparison results. The stimulus-attention judging portion judges whether the user is paying attention to the visual stimulus based on an N100 component of the event-related potential starting on the presentation timing of the visual stimulus and makes the start-up judging portion start processing according to the judgment results. The brain wave IF system is started by the start-up judging portion outputting the start-up trigger.12-16-2010
