20090135659ROOM TEMPERATURE DRIFT SUPPRESSION VIA SOFT PROGRAM AFTER ERASE - Providing for suppression of room temperature electronic drift in a flash memory cell is provided herein. For example, a soft program pulse can be applied to the flash memory cell immediately after an erase pulse. The soft program pulse can help to mitigate dipole effects caused by non-combined electrons and holes in the memory cell. Specifically, by utilizing a relatively low gate voltage, the soft program pulse can inject electrons into the flash memory cell proximate a distribution of uncombined holes associated with the erase pulse in order to facilitate rapid combination of such particles. Rapid combination in this manner reduces dipole effects caused by non-combined distributions of opposing charge within the memory cell, reducing room temperature program state drift05-28-2009

20080205475UNSTABLE RESONATOR WITH VARIABLE OUTPUT COUPLING - Through the use of a relatively inexpensive third mirror on a novel folded hybrid unstable resonator configuration, the optimum output coupling for a given laser design can be explored quickly and easily with a minimum of intracavity mirror alignment. No changes in either the radii of curvature of the three cavity optics or their spacing are required for this exploration. In addition to providing techniques for purposefully and systematically introducing mirror edge effects or avoiding edges effects altogether, the invention provides that output beams of different width can be advantageously explored in a relatively simple and straightforward manner. The invention provides that higher geometric magnification cavity designs may be made compatible with low diffraction output coupling in a configuration that uses only three totally reflecting optics.08-28-2008

20090004918RF SHIELDED, SERIES INDUCTOR, HIGH RF POWER IMPEDANCE MATCHING INTERCONNECTOR FOR CO2 SLAB LASER - A RF shielded, series inductor, high power impedance matching network interconnector is provided for connecting an RF power supply to electrodes contained in the shielded, hermetically sealed laser tube housing of a slab laser system. The impedance matching interconnector comprises a short length of co-axial conductor and an impedance matching network that includes two L shaped networks. The inner conductor of the co-axial conductor is connected between the power supply output and the impedance matching network. The outer conductor of the co-axial conductor is grounded. The co-axial conductor has an impedance characteristic to match the power supply output impedance. The first L-shaped network includes a first inductor having a first end connected to the inner conductor of the co-axial conductor and a first capacitor connected to the second end of the first inductor and a second plate connected to ground. The second L shaped network includes a second inductor having a first end connected to the common connection between the second end of the first inductor and the first plate of the first capacitor and a second capacitor having a first plate connected to the second end of the second inductor and a second plate connected to ground. The common connection between the second end of the second inductor and the first plate of the second capacitor is connected through the shielded, hermetically sealed laser tube housing to the electrodes of the slab laser system. The two L-shaped networks may be implemented in a “single capacitor” configuration for lower power applications or in a “multi-capacitor” configuration for higher power applications.01-01-2009
20090034574SLAB LASER WITH STAND-OFF FOR CERAMIC SPACERS - An RF excited gas discharge laser is disclosed including a housing holding the lasing gas. An electrode assembly is mounted within the housing. The electrode assembly includes a pair of elongated planar electrodes mounted in face to face relationship with a narrow gap therebetween. A pair of planar dielectric plates are positioned along the side edges of the gap to seal the discharge region. The plates extend part of the way into the gap from both sides edges of the electrodes. The inner surfaces of the electrodes are provided with an opposed trench in the region surrounding the inner edges of the plates. In this way, the exposure of the inner edges of the plates to the discharge is minimized improving performance.02-05-2009

20100197380System and Method of Conducting Simulated Combat - The present invention is a system and method of simulated combat which can be incorporated in an online multiplayer game. The game, which can be played using multiple human players competing against each other or playing against a computer, begins with a randomly chosen player going first. The randomly chosen player makes one of four moves: Slash, Feint, Adjust, or Thrust. If the player chooses to Slash, Feint, or Adjust, the turn ends and the opposing player has the same four options. If the player chooses to Thrust, the opponent is then given two different options instead: Riposte or Dodge. Once the opponent chooses Riposte or Dodge, he is then allowed to move again. Players have two statuses that change during the game: Energy (which is preferably visible to other players) and Balance (which is preferably hidden from other players).08-05-2010

20090256289Preserving Filled Features When Vacuum Wiping - A method/process for curing imprint on a template prior to contact with a substrate. A curing process is used to adhere the imprint to a wafer or substrate. Monomer is deposited on a template and then partially cured using a UV exposure. The exposure is controlled so that the imprint is cured past the gel point, but still retains a thin liquid layer of uncured monomer at the surface that will bond with the wafer. Further, this partially cured layer enables the alignment adjustments between the template and the substrate to be performed after contact between the two without pulling any monomer out of the features.10-15-2009
