20090087019Method fo rthe simultaneous deposition of a set of patterns on a substrate by a macrostamp - A stamp for depositing materials in the form of imprints on a surface of a substrate. The stamp includes a template and pins joined at one end to a first face of the template. The pins are arranged on the first face of the template so that the faces of all the pins joined to the template can be placed in contact virtually simultaneously on the surface of the substrate. The disclosed embodiments also relate to a method for fabricating the stamp and to a method for the virtually simultaneous deposition of a large number of imprints of identical or different materials on the surface of the substrate using the stamp, for an analysis.04-02-2009

20120295456SOCKET, A PLUG, AND AN ASSEMBLY - A plug and socket assembly comprising (i) a socket that includes a mating means disposed thereon, and an electrical contact on the socket, and (ii) a plug that includes a matching means for mating with the mating means disposed on the socket, and a conducting terminal for coupling electrically to the electrical contact on the socket. The matching means is configured to be adjustable between a compatible mode and an incompatible mode. When in the compatible mode, the matching means allows the electrical contact to contact the conducting terminal, and when in the incompatible mode, the matching means substantially prevents the electrical contact from contacting the conducting terminal.11-22-2012

20100168318FLUOROBETAINE COPOLYMER AND FIRE FIGHTING FOAM CONCENTRATES THEREFROM - It has been discovered by in present invention that, compared with a fluorosurfactant having only one betaine group per molecule, a fluorosurfactant having a plurality of betaine groups per molecule is superior in its ability to undergo electrostatic interaction with other components of a fire fighting composition thereby improving the performance of the fire fighting composition. Previously known fluorosurfactants comprise only one betaine group per molecule. In contrast, the present invention provides for a fluorobetaine copolymer containing a plurality of betaine groups.07-01-2010

20100288962FLUOROPOLYMER - Various fluoropolymers have been proposed for imparting oil and water repellency to leather. Commonly, these fluoropolymers are amphiphilic; i.e., they are made from at least one monomer which is hydrophobic and at least one monomer which is hydrophilic. The present invention identifies and remedies disadvantages associated with the ability of amphiphilic fluoropolymers to impart oil and water repellency to leather. Contrary to conventional thinking, it has now been discovered that the incorporation of hydrophilic groups in a fluoropolymer undesirably reduces its ability to impart water resistance to leather. Correspondingly, it has also been discovered that a fluoropolymer incorporating fewer or no hydrophilic groups imparts superior oil and water repellency to leather when compared to fluoropolymers incorporating more hydrophilic groups. Therefore, this invention provides fluoropolymers which incorporate reduced levels of hydrophilic groups.11-18-2010
