METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR UTILIZING A HIERARCHICAL BITMAP STRUCTURE TO PROVIDE A FAST AND RELIABLE MECHANISM TO REPRESENT LARGE DELETED DATA SETS IN RELATIONAL DATABASES - A method and system utilizes a hierarchical bitmap structure to represent deleted data sets. Each level in the hierarchical bitmap structure may have progressively larger size and represent finer granularity of number of data blocks than its parent level. A method in one aspect may comprise allocating a first level bitmap having size equal to a register on a processor, each bit in the first level bitmap representing a plurality of blocks of data in a database, and allocating one or more pointers corresponding to said plurality of bits in the first level bitmap, said one or more pointers being allocated to point to a sub bitmap generated after a data block is deleted but before the index corresponding to the data block is cleaned. | 08-28-2008
SYSTEM FOR REPRESENTING AND RECREATING OBJECT DEPENDENCIES FROM ONE DATABASE SYSTEM TO ANOTHER - A system for recreating a plurality of database dependencies of objects from one database to another is disclosed. The system comprises categorizing the dependencies based upon at least one base object and formalizing the relationships of the dependencies based upon the categorization. The system includes determining the order of recreating the objects based upon the formalizing of the relationships of the dependencies. In a preferred embodiment, the system and method builds a Dependency Management Table (DMT) that describes the relationship of each object to a base-table. The DMT includes an entry for every object-to-object relationship, including the category of the relationship, and the nesting-level of the dependency from the base-table. Using this information, objects can be recreated in an order which ensures correct management of dependencies. | 06-25-2009

METHOD FOR MAKING AND USING A TEMPLATE FOR LOCATING A DENTAL IMPLANT AND COMPONENTS RELATING THERETO - A method for making a template for a dental implant osteotomy in an edentulous space of a patient's mandible or maxilla, and components relating thereto. The method includes the steps of forming a dental cast of the patient's mandible or maxilla, drilling a hole into the dental cast wherein the location and orientation of the hole correspond to a desired location and orientation of the dental implant osteotomy, inserting a guide post into the hole, magnetically attaching a sleeve having a longitudinal gap to the guide post, applying a molding material to a portion of the dental cast and to a portion of an outer surface of the sleeve, allowing the molding material to cure, and removing the cured template including the sleeve embedded therein from the dental cast, whereby using the template in the patient's mouth provides a guide means for drilling the osteotomy. | 04-14-2011

Device for measuring bulk stress via insonification and method of use therefor - A device and method to nondestructively measure bulk stress in a member by employing an acoustic source, preferably an ultrasonic source, a processor, and a uniquely configured acoustic sensor package. The sensor package is configured to transmit both a longitudinal wave signal and a shear wave signal into the member. The processor is configured to capture reflections of the two impressed signals along a principal stress axis of the member and calculate the roundtrip time of the two signals. Knowing the length of the member along a principal stress axis, from the roundtrip times of the two signals, two velocities are calculated. By employing an equation that calculates bulk stress as a function of these shear and longitudinal wave velocities, a measure of bulk stress is calculated via the processor. The device measures bulk stress of a member that offers limited access in its permanent installation, such as dam reinforcements. | 10-02-2008
PROCESS AND SYSTEM FOR INCREASING DENSITY OF NON-CONDUCTIVE POROUS SOLIDS AND MATERIAL MADE THEREFROM. - A “green process” and system employing a first operation of electrophoresis in a liquid suspending selected solids to introduce the suspended solid particles as micro- or nano-particles, or both, into pore spaces of a porous non-conductive medium. A second operation uses electro-transport to move ions of solids into small pore spaces inaccessible via electrophoresis alone to grow solids in these smaller pore spaces to a size that may fill them, thus increasing the density and strength of the medium. The process yields a material that has improved strength, reduced porosity, high density and, in select applications, resistance to formation of mildew, mold, fungus and the like. Certain applications also enable decorative colors and florescence to be introduced to the media. Materials made from the process include high strength concrete construction panels, “backer boards,” work surfaces, counter tops, complex decorative configurations, strong thin walled items, and the like. | 05-05-2011

LICENSING MEDIA CONSUMPTION USING DIGITAL CURRENCY - Methods and apparatus for issuing licenses to allow end users to consume digital media content on a user device by responding to licensing requests by determining the number of digital currency tokens required to license the requested consumption and then issuing the license if the end user's account has a sufficient number of digital currency tokens. The end user may further use the digital currency tokens to purchase new features, which are internal and/or external to the digital media content. Other embodiments may be disclosed or claimed. | 01-14-2010
