In some embodiments, a report provided by a radiologist in connection with a study of one or more medical images is analyzed to determine whether the radiologist provided an item of information called for by at least one guideline. If it is determined that the radiologist failed to provide the item of information called for by the at least one guideline, at least one assumption is automatically made with respect to the item of information, and the radiologist is prompted to review the at least one assumption.
