20100087936 | GOLF PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT - A system for assessing the performance of a golfer is disclosed. The system allocates a score to a particular shot based on the point from which the shot has been played, and the accessibility of the target from the point at which the ball has come to a halt. Allocated scores are then assembled and correlated, and may be recorded and/or analysed at a central database. They can be compared to reference figures as appropriate to provide an indication of the golfer's relative performance, and may take account of the golfer's handicap. The system can use wireless technology to enable performance material to be transmitted to a remote database from the golf course. The data generated can be useful both in analysis and as a teaching aid. | 04-08-2010 |

20150079327 | 3D PRINTING WITH CUSTOM SURFACE REFLECTION - A method for fabricating custom surface reflectance and spatially-varying bi-directional reflectance distribution functions (BDRFs or svBRDFs). The 3D printing method optimizes micro-geometry to produce a normal distribution function (NDF) that can be printed on surfaces with a 3D printer. Particularly, the method involves optimizing the micro-geometry for a wide range of analytic NDFs and simulating the effective reflectance of the resulting surface. Using the results of the simulation, the appearance of an input svBRDF can be reproduced. To this end, the micro-geometry is optimized in a data-driven fashion and distributed on the surface of the printed object. The methods were demonstrated to allow 3D printing svBRDF on planar samples with current 3D printing technology even with a limited set of printing materials, and the described methods have been shown to be naturally extendable to printing svBRDF on arbitrary shapes or 3D objects. | 03-19-2015 |

20120243413 | Data Packet Priority Level Management - The invention relates to the management of priority levels for data packets in a stream. In particular, the size of a data packet is determined for use in determining a priority level for said packet. Then the priority level for the data packet is determined based on the size of the data packet and the data packet is placed in a queue among a plurality of queues based on the priority level of the data packet, each queue being associated with a priority level. | 09-27-2012 |

20140106747 | Multi SIM Management - There is described a multiple subscriber identity arrangement having a modem capable of receiving messages related to either one of at least two subscriber identities, but not simultaneously. The arrangement further comprises a control unit configured to, when the modem performs communication activity associated with a first subscriber identity: determine whether gaps not allocated for the communication activity associated with the first subscriber identity coincide with paging occasions associated with a second subscriber identity; and, if at least one gap not allocated for the communication activity associated with the first subscriber identity coincides with at least one paging occasion associated with the second subscriber identity, cause the modem to switch to the second subscriber identity to read one paging message on a paging channel associated with the second subscriber identity. | 04-17-2014 |

20150081562 | Partner Encoding of Anonymous Links to Protect Consumer Privacy - A method and system for bringing together online and offline advertising uses partner-encoded anonymous links that are associated with consumer data. The partner-encoded anonymous links allow processing without personally identifiable information (PII) in a secure environment. Data is matched using identifiers that are encrypted for use in connection with individual match distribution partners. The method and system allows a marketer to utilize offline data to precisely target advertisements without the use of PII, and to perform analytics concerning the use of the online advertisements to more precisely determine the effectiveness of multichannel marketing efforts. | 03-19-2015 |
20150081565 | Apparatus and Method for Bringing Offline Data Online While Protecting Consumer Privacy - A method and system for bringing together online and offline advertising uses anonymous links that are associated with consumer data. The anonymous links allow processing without personally identifiable information (PII) in a secure environment. Data is matched using the anonymous links, and further using identifiers that are encrypted for use in connection with individual match distribution partners. The method and system allows a marketer to utilize offline data to precisely target advertisements without the use of PII, and to perform analytics concerning the use of the online advertisements to more precisely determine the effectiveness of multichannel marketing efforts. | 03-19-2015 |
