20090157866 | TRANSPARENT AUTO-DISCOVERY OF NETWORK DEVICES LOGICALLY LOCATED BETWEEN A CLIENT AND SERVER - Discovery of intermediate network devices is performed using a technique that piggybacks upon the existing standard TCP (Transport Control Protocol) “SACK” (Selective Acknowledgment) option in a SYN/ACK packet so that discovery information may be shared between pair-wise-deployed peer intermediate devices when a TCP/IP connection (Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is first established between network endpoints using a conventional three-way handshake. Use of the SACK option is combined with another technique which comprises modifying the original 16-bit value of the TCP receive window size to a special arbitrary value to mark a SYN packet as being generated by a first peer device. The marked SYN when received by the second peer device triggers that device's discovery information to be piggybacked in the SACK option of the SYN/ACK packet. The first device then piggybacks its discovery information in the SACK option of the ACK packet which completes the three-way handshake. | 06-18-2009 |

20130031047 | EFFICIENCY AND ACCURACY OF GEO-FENCING BASED ON USER HISTORY - Architecture that identifies and learns repeated user behavior (habits) related to routes of travel and points of interest. Once learned, the habits of an individual can be used to make an algorithm more efficient, and hence, the user experience of an application more effective and enjoyable. The capability to more accurately infer user behavior based on user history can be employed to operate (e.g., power down or place in components standby to conserve power) user device resources in a more efficient manner. It can be identified that a user has deviated from a routine route that has associated points of interest to a new route that has associated new points of interest. Once identified, the original set of points of interest for the routine route is then updated with new points of interest. The identification of fixed routes can be determined dynamically as well as deviation from a fixed route. | 01-31-2013 |
20130117292 | CONNECTION OF USERS BY GEOLOCATION - Architecture that enables discovery and communications between users that have common interests (e.g., visited the same place). For example, when users arrive at a geographic location (e.g., a business) at various times, the users are registered (automatically or manually) via a location-based service. A user can register at the location so other users may discover the user by association to the same location and according to concurrent (all or a portion of overlap of time) visitation. The registration process creates visit information of a visiting user, and a history component stores the visit information and provides access to the visit information according to user access preferences. The architecture further enables searches to be performed over the visit information by users to find other users who visited the location at the same time, to find potential new friends, and also suggest other users who match the user profile preferences. | 05-09-2013 |

20130232473 | Code Coverage Detection with Scriptable Language Unmodified Source - Code coverage detection for interpreted scriptable programming languages avoids source code modification. Each program element of the script is performed by (a) using a debugger to proactively computationally indicate in a coverage data structure that the element was reached, and integrally (b) running non-logger executable code which corresponds to the element. Coverage of lines, statements, and other program elements during script execution can be measured even though the source code has not been instrumented with injected log statements. Proactively generated breakpoints pass control from each coverage-tracked program element into a code coverage debugger which updates the coverage data structure. Comments are skipped. Code coverage detection may be invoked from a command line, an Integrated Development Environment, or another context. The coverage data structure is correlated with the source code to produce a coverage map that is displayed to users showing which source code was performed. | 09-05-2013 |

20100324900 | Searching in Audio Speech - A computerized method of detecting a target word in a speech signal. A speech recognition engine and a previously constructed phoneme model is provided. The speech signal is input into the speech recognition engine. Based on the phoneme model, the input speech signal is indexed. A time-ordered list is stored representing n-best phoneme candidates of the input speech signal and phonemes of the input speech signal in multiple phoneme frames. The target word is transcribed into a transcription of target phonemes. The time-ordered list of n-best phoneme candidates is searched for a locus of said target phonemes. While searching, scoring is based on the ranking of the phoneme candidates among the n-best phoneme candidates and based on the number of the target phonemes found. A composite score of the probability of an occurrence of the target word is produced. When the composite score is higher than a threshold, start and finish times are output which bound the locus. The start and finish times are input into an algorithm adapted for sequence alignment based on dynamic programming for aligning a portion of the phoneme frames with the target phonemes. | 12-23-2010 |

20090320208 | SPINAL RELAXATION APPARATUS - A spinal-length mattress including a means for providing buoyancy to a human torso and abdomen thereon; attached to the mattress at one end, a pelvic support portion; and attached to the mattress at an opposite end, a head rotation stabilization portion having an air passage opening allowing a person to breathe freely when resting in a face down position thereon. By supporting the pelvis and stabilizing the head to substantially limit motions of the neck, a central cushion (preferably dominated by a “shape memory foam” filling) allows the spinal column to passively distribute all directional stresses—including those deriving from body mass and from muscle tension. Thus relieved of stress, disks between spinal bones begin to return to their respective naturally compliant symmetrical shapes; thereby generally providing a long term benefit in exchange for a quarter hour or a half hour of regular prone-oriented engagement with the mattress. | 12-31-2009 |
