20080215373 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AGGREGATING AND PROVIDING SUBSCRIBER MEDICAL INFORMATION TO MEDICAL UNITS - A system and method for aggregating and providing subscriber medical record information to medical units. The system includes an ICE medical record server that stores a plurality of medical records of respective subscribers. When a subscriber is being attended by a medical unit, the medical unit using a communication device sends an identification number to the server. In response, the server sends the subscriber's medical record to the communication device. The communication device may populate a medical form with the information and display it for use in diagnosing and treating the subscriber. The medical unit may annotate the medical form to document the on-going emergency, and upload it to a professional medical record server, which may provide the information to a medical facility to which the subscriber will be transported. The ICE and/or professional medical record servers may perform statistical analyses of the information in their respective databases for the purpose of performing symptomatic surveillance and other public health analyses. | 09-04-2008 |
20080243545 | SYSTEM AND METHOD OF AGGREGATING AND DISSEMINATING IN-CASE-OF-EMERGENCY MEDICAL AND PERSONAL INFORMATION - A system for aggregating and disseminating in-case-of-emergency (ICE) medical information to medical units. The system includes an ICE medical record server that stores medical records of respective subscribers, and automatically receive updates from health service entities visited by subscribers. When contacted by emergency dispatchers or first responders, the server sends subscribers medical information to first responders, emergency management agencies directly, via a dispatcher, or via a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system. The medical information may be arranged, emphasized, and/or filtered in a manner relevant to the on-going emergency. A communication device may wirelessly receive the medical information and pre-populate a pre-hospital care form with the information, which may be further orally annotated by the first responder. The completed PCR may then be sent to a PCR server for subsequent access by medical units that subsequently treat the subscriber. The medical server may further assist a public health agency to disseminate emergency information to selected subscribers, responders, and public health alerting systems. An ICE personal server for storing important personal documents is also disclosed. A PCR server is also disclosed that can disseminate aggregate PCR information in near real-time to an emergency management agency (EMA) system for developing incident response plans during a wide area emergency. | 10-02-2008 |
20100063841 | SYSTEM AND METHOD OF NOTIFYING DESIGNATED ENTITIES OF ACCESS TO PERSONAL MEDICAL RECORDS - A medical information server and corresponding methods are disclosed for processing of personal medical information, providing some or all of the medical information to authorized requesting entities, and providing notifications of access to personal medical records to designated entities. The server may receive a request for personal medical record information from a communications device of a requesting entity; authenticate and authorize the request; send the requested information to the authorized requesting entity; and send notification of the access to one or more designated entities. The server may further update an access history pertaining to the personal medical record to note the access. The server may further receive a request for the access history of a personal medical record, and send the requested access history information to the authorized requesting entity. Additionally, the server may send notification of the access to the history to one or more designated entities. | 03-11-2010 |

20110093244 | Analysis of Transcriptomic Data Using Similarity Based Modeling - An analytic apparatus and method is provided for diagnosis, prognosis and biomarker discovery using transcriptome data such as mRNA expression levels from microarrays, proteomic data, and metabolomic data. The invention provides for model-based analysis, especially using kernel-based models, and more particularly similarity-based models. Model-derived residuals advantageously provide a unique new tool for insights into disease mechanisms. Localization of models provides for improved model efficacy. The invention is capable of extracting useful information heretofore unavailable by other methods, relating to dynamics in cellular gene regulation, regulatory networks, biological pathways and metabolism. | 04-21-2011 |
20110124982 | Residual-Based Monitoring of Human Health - Improved human health monitoring is provided in the context of sensor measurements of typical vital signs and other biological parameters, by a system and method using an empirical model of the parameters and disposed to estimate values of the parameters in response to actual measurements. Residuals resulting from the difference between the estimates and actual measurements are analyzed for robust indications of incipient health issues. Residual analysis is both more robust and more sensitive than conventional univariate range checking on vital signs. | 05-26-2011 |
20140275888 | Wearable Wireless Multisensor Health Monitor with Head Photoplethysmograph - Ambulatory monitoring of human health is provided by a multi-component multi-sensor wireless wearable biosignal acquisition system comprising a torso device and a peripheral device communicating wirelessly, and a mobile phone for receiving collected data and uploading it over cellular network or WiFi to a remote computer for multivariate analysis. Biosignals include EKG and PPG, from which a determination of pulse transit time can be made. | 09-18-2014 |
