20090004550 | In situ fabricated electrochemical device - An electrochemical device, such as a fuel cell, and method of forming it, in which electrodes, such as anode and cathode, are disposed on a semipermeable or permeable membrane having ion conduction channels. Electrocatalyst is deposited on locations on the electrodes limited to and corresponding to the ion conduction channels. In a first embodiment, anode and cathode electrodes sandwich the membrane, a counter electrode is connected to one of the electrodes, electrolyte containing an electrochemical precursor to the electrocatalyst is applied to the other electrode whereby, upon applying current to the counter electrode, electrocatalyst is deposited on locations on the first electrode corresponding to the ion conduction channels. The process is repeated with the counter electrode connected on the other electrode of the cell. In a second embodiment, a combination of a first electrode and a first membrane is assembled as is a combination of a second electrode and a second membrane. A counter electrode and electrolyte containing an electrochemical precursor to the electrocatalyst are separately applied to the first combination, then the second combination whereby, upon applying current to the counter electrodes, electrocatalyst is deposited on locations on the first and second electrodes corresponding to the ion conduction channels. The surfaces of the first and second membranes are joined opposite their respective electrodes to a porous coupling layer to form the electrochemical device. | 01-01-2009 |

20120177668 | IMMUNOMODULATING COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING INTERLEUKIN 13 INHIBITORS AND USES THEREFOR - This invention relates generally to compositions and methods for modulating immune responses. More particularly, the present invention relates to the co-expression, co-location or co-presentation on host cells (e.g. antigen-presenting cells, leukocytes, etc) of an inhibitor of IL-13 function and an immune stimulator that stimulates an immune response to a target antigen in compositions and methods for stimulating protective or therapeutic immune responses to the target antigen. The compositions and methods of the present invention are particularly useful in the prophylaxis and/or treatment of a range of diseases or conditions including pathogenic infections and cancers. | 07-12-2012 |
20150150963 | VACCINATION WITH INTERLEUKIN-4 ANTAGONISTS - The invention relates to methods for inducing an antigen-specific immune response, methods for increasing the avidity of immune cells for an antigen, methods for increasing the number of immune cells specific for an antigen, methods of preventing or treating infection and methods of vaccinating, the methods comprising administering an interleukin-4 receptor (LL-4R) antagonist in combination with an antigen, in particular HIV-1 antigens selected from a gag, pol, or env. | 06-04-2015 |

20150332523 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BIOLOGICALLY INSPIRED AUTONOMOUS INFRASTRUCTURE MONITORING - A method and apparatus are provided for autonomously detecting and reporting anomalies in actions of an autonomous mobile node, or in behaviors of a swarm of autonomous mobile nodes to an operator. The autonomous mobile node may experience anomalies or unexpected situations due to various failures or external influence (e.g. natural weather phenomena, enemy threats). During a training phase a prediction model and a structured model may be established from measurement data received from one or more sensors of an autonomous mobile node or a swarm of nodes while executing an action or behavior under normal circumstances. A prediction model forecasts the expected outcome of an action or behavior, and structured model helps quantify the similarity of a learned action or behavior to the currently observed situation. Based on the measurement data applicable models can be used for an action or behavior for anomaly detection in the action or behavior. | 11-19-2015 |
20150334768 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROL OF MULTIPLE AUTONOMOUS MOBILE NODES BASED ON DYNAMIC SITUATIONAL AWARENESS DATA - Techniques for autonomously establishing, maintaining, and repairing of a wireless communication network among multiple autonomous mobile nodes (AMN) are provided. The multiple AMNs are flown towards a first node. A tentacle is established with the first node and extended to cover a second node over a distance, thereby establishing a wireless communication network between the first node and the second node via the multiple AMNs. Any damage to the established wireless communication network or tentacle may be autonomously detected and repaired by using spare AMNs. Further, the communication network may be used to enable autonomous detection, tracking of the second node, as well as autonomous detection of a contamination area, based on data received from one or more sensors onboard the AMNs deployed in the air. | 11-19-2015 |

20120117180 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SYNCHRONIZATION IN A NETWORKED ENVIRONMENT - Described herein are systems and methods for synchronization in a networked environment. For example, some embodiments provide methods for synchronizing a client device having a client media time reference with a server device having a server media time reference. In some cases such methods are embodied in computer readable code that is executable on one or more processors. Furthermore, some embodiments provide hardware, such as networked media devices that are configured to perform such methods. In overview, in some embodiments a client obtains timing information from a server and, on the basis of this timing information, applies an adjustment to a client control time reference, thereby to synchronize the client media time reference with the server media time reference. Some embodiments are particularly directed to the situation where there is a desire to synchronize networked media devices across a combination of wired and wireless networks. | 05-10-2012 |
