20140159921 | Configurable, Portable Patient Monitoring System - A system for patient monitoring includes a plurality of components including a monitor and display assembly, optional stand-alone displays, optional stand-alone monitors, one or more modules, and at least one patient parameter measuring device. The display includes a flat glass front with a blackened border that appears continuous but allows the passage of light during alarm situations. The display functions as a touchscreen and includes a portion for alarm volume control. The system also includes a docking station for the monitor and display assembly and capnography and/or multigas pods for attachment to the monitor and display assembly. The monitor and display assembly, docking station, and pods enhance portability of the system. The monitor and display assembly, module(s), and patient parameter measuring device(s) are all interconnected via Dual Serial Bus (DSB) interfaces. | 06-12-2014 |

20120127103 | CONFIGURABLE PATIENT MONITORING SYSTEM - A system for patient monitoring includes a plurality of non-integrated components including a display, a monitor, one or more modules, and at least one patient parameter measuring device. The display includes a flat glass front with a blackened border that appears continuous but allows the passage of light during alarm situations. The display includes a housing with openings on the right and left sides which allow the passage of light during alarm situations. The display also includes a prominent programmable button which enables easy alarm silencing. The monitor can be fixedly attached to the back of the display in a “backpack mounting” configuration to free up bedside space. Optional monitor and display cabinets are capable of housing power supplies and cables and provide for additional free space. The monitor, module(s), and patient parameter measuring device(s) are all interconnected via Dual Serial Bus (DSB) interfaces. | 05-24-2012 |

20110167892 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CALIBRATING A WAFER HANDLING ROBOT AND A WAFER CASSETTE - A system and method is disclosed for calibrating a semiconductor wafer handling robot and a semiconductor wafer cassette. A robot blade boot is attached to a robot blade of the semiconductor handling robot. The robot blade boot decreases a value of tolerance for the robot blade to move between two semiconductor wafers in the semiconductor wafer cassette. In one embodiment the vertical tolerance is decreased to approximately twenty thousandths of an inch (0.020″) on a top and a bottom of the robot blade boot. The use of the robot blade boot makes the calibration steps more critical and precise. The robot blade boot is removed from the robot blade after the calibration process has been completed. | 07-14-2011 |

20130094107 | INDUCED TRANSDUCER HEAD VIBRATION - Vibration of a transducer slider can be used during slider fly height calibration to detect contact of the transducer slider with a disc surface. Amplification of the vibration may cause the transducer slider to tap the disc surface rather than drag across the disc surface when detecting contact with the disc surface. Amplification may be achieved by applying an in-phase AC signal to the transducer slider at the same frequency as the vibration of the slider. Reduced contact between the slider and the disc surface reduces wear on and the possibility of damage to the transducer slider and/or the disc surface. Once the fly height of the transducer slider is calibrated, the AC signal may be shifted out-of-phase with the slider vibration to dampen the slider vibration. | 04-18-2013 |
