20080251225Plants that Produce Amylopectin Starch With Novel Properties - The present invention relates to genetically modified plant cells and plants in which the genetic modification leads to a reduction in GBSSI, SSIII and BEI activity in comparison to the activity in corresponding wild type plant cells or wild type plants. Furthermore, the present invention relates to methods for the production of such plant cells and plants. The present invention also relates to the starch produced by the plant cells of the invention or plants of the invention, as well as to methods for the production of this starch and derivatised starch.10-16-2008
20090099129INULIN OF VERY HIGH CHAIN LENGTH - The invention relates to a long-chain inulin and its preparation from artichoke roots, to its use in foodstuffs and cosmetic preparations and to foodstuffs and cosmetic preparations which comprise the long-chain inulin.04-16-2009
20090202705INULIN OF VERY HIGH CHAIN LENGTH - The invention relates to a long-chain inulin and its preparation from artichoke roots, to its use in foodstuffs and cosmetic preparations and to foodstuffs and cosmetic preparations which comprise the long-chain inulin.08-13-2009
20110014345Use of Alternan as a Thickening Agent and Thickening Agent Compositions Containing Alternan and Another Thickening Agent - The invention relates to the use of alternan as a thickening agent, in particular for foodstuffs, a thickening agent composition comprising alternan and at least one other thickening agent, a foodstuff comprising the thickening agent composition, and a method of increasing the viscosity of foodstuffs.01-20-2011
20110065810Use of Alternan as Texturizing Agent in Foodstuffs and Cosmetics - The invention is directed to the use of alternan as a texturizing agent, particularly as a fat or oil replacer in foodstuffs or cosmetic preparations, a homogeneous composition comprising alternan and water, the use of the homogenous composition as a texturizing agent in foodstuffs or cosmetic preparations, and foodstuffs and cosmetic preparations comprising alternan as a texturizing agent or a homogeneous composition comprising alternan.03-17-2011

20080248188Monocotyledon plant cells and plants which synthesise modified starch - The present invention relates to monocotyledon plant cells and plants which are genetically modified, wherein the genetic modification consists of the introduction of an extraneous nucleic acid molecule which codes for a protein with the biological activity of an R1 protein. The present invention further relates to means and methods for the production thereof. Plant cells and plants of this type synthesise a modified starch, which is characterised in that it has an increased phosphate content and/or a modified phosphorylation pattern and/or an increased final viscosity in an RVA profile and/or a reduced peak temperature in DSC analysis and/or an increased gel strength in the texture analysis compared with starch from corresponding non-genetically modified monocotyledon plants. Therefore, the present invention also relates to the starch which is synthesised from the plant cells and plants according to the invention, and to methods of producing said starch. The present invention further relates to wheat flours which contain said modified starches, and to food products and bakery products which contain said wheat flours and/or starch.10-09-2008
