20090002326 | METHOD, APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR FACILITATING DATA ENTRY VIA A TOUCHSCREEN - A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for facilitating data entry into an electronic device via a touchscreen. As a user places his or her finger on the touchscreen, a cursor may be displayed at a location relative to other items displayed on the touchscreen that is proximate the physical location where the user touched the touchscreen. Because the cursor is likely now obscured by the user's finger, the items displayed on the touchscreen, including the cursor, may then be shifted or scrolled so that the cursor is offset from the physical location where the user touched the touchscreen. At the same time, the items displayed on the touchscreen may be magnified in order to further facilitate data entry. At this point, the user may shift or tilt his or her finger in order to achieve the desired cursor placement. | 01-01-2009 |
20090044124 | METHOD, APPARATUS AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR FACILITATING DATA ENTRY USING AN OFFSET CONNECTION ELEMENT - A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided for facilitating data entry into an electronic device via a touchscreen. As a user touches the touchscreen at a first location, a cursor may be displayed at that location. Because the cursor, as well as various items displayed on the touchscreen, are likely now obscured by the instrument used to touch the touchscreen, the user may sweep his or her finger away from the first location, at which point a pointer, or similar connection element, may be displayed between the cursor, which is maintained at the first location, and the second, new location of the instrument. The user may unlock the connection element and cursor, causing the connection element, and by extension the cursor, to begin moving with the instrument. The user may then move the cursor to its desired location by movement of the offset connection element. | 02-12-2009 |
20090059491 | Portable electronic device - Multiple body element portable electronic devices are configurable to predetermined fixed orientations each of which define a respective different operative position wherein one body element is arranged to move relative to another body element from an overlapping closed operative position to a non-overlapping operative position to maximize the surface area relative to usage of each body element. The multiple body elements may be arranged for slidable, hinged and swivel movement with respect to one another. | 03-05-2009 |
20090215495 | MOBILE COMMUNICATION AND/OR GAMING TERMINAL - The invention relates to mobile communication and gaming terminals with a housing that is provided with a pair of pivoting wings that allow the terminals to be used in different configurations of the wings relative to the housing. | 08-27-2009 |
20100259499 | Method and device for recognizing a dual point user input on a touch based user input device - A dual point user input is recognized on a touch based user input device that is only capable of outputting a single input position signal by forming or detecting a first position signal, preferably storing the position signal, forming or detecting a subsequent second position signal and determining if the second position has its source in a simultaneous dual point user input. | 10-14-2010 |
