20080256950 | Turbo Lag Reducer - A turbo lag reducer is a device which compresses air into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine (providing boost), and does so without the revolution speed restrictions of typical turbo- and super-charger devices. A turbo lag reducer device includes several portions or sections. A common impeller compressor device, an exhaust gas-driven turbine driving device, a mechanically-rotated transmission portion (operably connected to receive and transfer engine rotational movement from the engine to the impeller) and a clutch device. The turbine and the transmission device are both powered by the internal combustion engine into which the turbo lag reducer compresses air. The turbine is driven by high pressure exhaust gasses from the engine's combustion chamber, and also by a transmission device that is mechanically driven from the same engine. The transmission device is operably coupled to an engine and the clutch device (possible a unidirectional, overriding clutch and/or electrical or hydraulic switch type clutch) so as to rotate the clutch device of the turbo lag reducer, which is operably coupled to an impeller compressor. The impeller compressor is thereby caused to rotate by both exhaust flow from the engine's combustion chamber, as well as, by the mechanical rotation of the engine through the transmission device, with the clutch, configured so as to allow or cause either exhaust flow or mechanical means, to supercede the other as is needed to achieve the desired turbo boost, or the desired amount of compressed air for the engine's combustion chamber. | 10-23-2008 |

20150039076 | One-Way Heart Assist Valve - A medical device used in patients with inefficient heart function to improve the efficiency of the pumping action of the heart. This device adds one or more one-way valves in the blood vessels and/or arteries, very near, but not in, the heart, thereby increasing the efficiency of the native heart. The device includes one or more one-way heart valves designed to go in arteries/veins that are connected to the heart, and which arteries and/or veins are the conduits for taking blood into/out of the heart. The one-way heart valve allows blood flow in only one direction. An optional sleeve (stent) may be placed outside the arteries/veins where the valve(s) are located to add support to the walls. An optional sleeve (stent) may also be used on the inside of the artery to insure the artery does not collapse during a vacuum phase of the beating. | 02-05-2015 |
20150078886 | Sleeve Bearing for Turbocharging Device - A ball bearing sleeve is used in a turbocharging device. The ball bearing sleeve has one or more ball bearings that are designed to control loads that are applied to the sleeve in the x, y and z-directions. The ball bearing sleeve is designed to replace the “thrust bearing” that is typically the “weak link” in a turbocharging device, as well as the journal bearings. The sleeve is designed to include a cylindrical portion that includes one or more grooves for directing the flow of oil around the sleeve for cooling. An oil duct having access holes directs the flow of oil into the ball bearings. Sleeve device may be retro-fitted into an existing turbocharger, which originally had journal and thrust bearings. | 03-19-2015 |

20090246923 | Method of Forming Shielded Gate FET with Self-aligned Features - A method for forming a shielded gate field effect transistor includes the following steps. Trenches are formed in a semiconductor region of a first conductivity type. A shield electrode is formed in a bottom portion of each trench, the shield electrode being insulated from the semiconductor region by a shield dielectric. A gate electrode recessed in each trench is formed over the shield electrode, the gate electrode being insulated from the shield electrode. Using a first mask, a body region of a second conductivity type is formed in the semiconductor region by implanting dopants. Using the first mask, source regions of the first conductivity type are formed in the body region by implanting dopants. | 10-01-2009 |

20150075638 | PLUMBING FREEZE PROTECTION SYSTEM - A plumbing freeze protection system comprises a fluid connection between a water supply line and a waste line. The fluid connection bypasses a plumbing fixture fluidly connected to the water supply line. A valve operable with the fluid connection alternately prevents water flow from the water supply line to the waste line, and allows water flow from the water supply line to the waste line within about 25 percent of maximum volumetric flow rate of the water supply line through the fluid connection. A timer is adapted to control the valve. The valve is open for a predetermined time period to deliver a short duration, high volumetric flow rate of water to the waste line to minimize ice formation in, and remove existing ice from, the water supply and waste lines. | 03-19-2015 |

20100267629 | Enterostatin as Therapeutic Agent for Hypoglycemia - It has been discovered that enterostatin injections into mice caused an increase in blood glucose levels within 15 minutes of injection, and the glucose levels remained high for up to an hour after injection. In addition, mice injected with enterostatin showed less of an initial decrease in blood glucose following an insulin injection. Enterostatin was also shown to decrease AMPK activity in both mice and human tissues, which is additional support that glucose production is increased after enterostatin injection. This ability to enhance glucose production indicates that enterostatin could be used to treat hypoglycemia. | 10-21-2010 |
