20100217080Disposable Sheath for Use with an Imaging System - The present invention provides disposable illumination sheaths as a sterile barrier between an imaging device and a patient. An exemplary sheath can generally be usable with any imaging system known in the art, for example, an endoscopic imaging system, and can be designed to cover and/or enclose portions of the imaging device that may be exposed to patient tissue and/or bodily fluids. An exemplary sheath of the present invention can be designed to cover and protect the imaging shaft, optics housing, camera housing, handle, imaging output and/or other electrical and component cords, as well as any other portion of the imaging device that may be exposed to contamination. A used sheath can be disposed of after a first procedure and a new, sterile sheath can be used for a subsequent procedure. In this way, an imaging device can be utilized repeatedly without the need for a full sterilization between each procedure.08-26-2010

20090307599VIRTUAL PRIVATE SUPPLY CHAIN - A generic Internet based system for viewing supply chain data is provided. The system includes an Internet based data viewing engine and a data store that holds both viewable data and metadata associated with the viewable data. The metadata can be employed by the Internet based data viewing engine to control the presentation of the viewable data. The generic Internet based supply chain data viewing engine may be employed in a virtual private supply chain (VPSC). A VPSC includes a data acceptor that can receive supply chain data items from supply chain members, a supply chain data store that can store transformed, validated supply chain data items received from the supply chain members and a data accessor operable to selectively present supply chain data items stored in the supply chain data store to viewing supply chain members. One example of the data accessor is the generic Internet based viewing engine.12-10-2009

20110012840GROUND DETECTION FOR TOUCH SENSITIVE DEVICE - Ground detection of a touch sensitive device is disclosed. The device can detect its grounded state so that poor grounding can be selectively compensated for in touch signals outputted by the device. The device can include one or more components to monitor certain conditions of the device. The device can analyze the monitored conditions to determine the grounding condition of the device. The device can apply a function to compensate its touch signal outputs if the device determines that it is poorly grounded. Conversely, the device can omit the function if the device determines that it is well grounded.01-20-2011

20100141579METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING A COMPUTING SYSTEM - A handheld computing device is introduced comprising a motion detection sensor(s) and a motion control agent. The motion detection sensor(s) detect motion of the computing device in one or more of six (6) fields of motion and generate an indication of such motion. The motion control agent, responsive to the indications of motion received from the motion sensors, generate control signals to modify, one or more of the operating state and/or the displayed content of the computing device based, at least in part, on the received indications.06-10-2010

20100329348Method and Apparatus for Accomplishing Multiple Description Coding for Video - A method and apparatus for utilizing temporal prediction and motion compensated prediction to accomplish multiple description video coding is disclosed. An encoder receives a sequence of video frames and divides each frame into non-overlapping macromacroblocks. Each macromacroblock is then encoded using either an intraframe mode (I-mode) or a prediction mode (P-mode) technique. Both the I-mode and the P-mode encoding techniques produce an output for each of n channels used to transmit the encoded video data to a decoder.12-30-2010
