20110147374ELECTRIC HEATING APPARATUS FOR HEATING INFANT FOOD BY MEANS OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION - The present invention relates to an electric heating apparatus comprising a casing in which a receptacle containing a substance to be heated, preferably infant food, can be at least partly received. In the casing a radiation source for emitting electromagnetic radiation is arranged and the heating apparatus further comprises at least one reflector disposed in such way that it directs the emitted electromagnetic radiation onto the substance to be heated. In accordance with the invention, the reflector forms a hollow by which the receptacle can be at least partly received for heating, the radiation source being arranged with respect to the reflector such that a predominant portion of the electromagnetic radiation which is not directly incident on the receptacle is directed to the receptacle by the reflector.06-23-2011

20090036576Cyanophycin Production From Nitrogen-Containing Chemicals Obtained From Biomass - The present invention relates to fermentation processes for the production of cyanophycin in a microorganism whereby a plant-derived nitrogen source is converted by the microorganism into cyanophycin. The plant-derived nitrogen source preferably is a process stream being obtained in the processing of agricultural crops such as e.g., a by-product in the processing of starch from agricultural crops like corn, potato or cassave. The invention further relates to processes for the conversion of cyanophycin into a variety of compounds including e.g., ornithine, 1,4-butanediamine, n-alkyl amino alcohols, acrylonitrile, as well as cyanophycin derived functionalised poly(aspartic acid)s wherein the arginine residues have been functionalised to ornithine, (N-L-arginino)succinate, N-phospho-L-arginine or agmantine and the lysine residues have been functionalised to N6-hydroxy-L-lysine, 2,5-diaminohexanoate, N6-(L-1,3-dicarboxypropyl), pentanediamine, 5-aminopentanamide or N6-acetyl-L-lysine. These functionalised groups can be further subjected to subsequent chemical and/or enzymatic modifications.02-05-2009

20090072089AIRCRAFT DOOR ASSEMBLY, AND AIRCRAFT FUSELAGE COMPRISING SUCH AN AIRCRAFT DOOR ASSEMBLY - An aircraft door assembly of an aircraft, having a fuselage with a door opening and a door frame, encompassing an aircraft door fittable in the door frame. The door includes a door structure having an outer skin and is liftable from a locked closed position into a unlocked closed position, pivotable into an open position located outside the door frame and outside the fuselage, pivotable from the open position back into the unlocked closed position, and lowerable into the locked closed position such that in the locked closed position, a door gap is present between the door frame and a door edge. The gap defines a space for lifting and lowering the door. The door also includes, on its outer side and on a door edge region, a door gap covering element that extends over the door gap onto the outer side of the aircraft fuselage and covers the door gap, when the door is in the locked closed position. The door gap covering element is fastened onto the door structure and is movable relative to the outer side of the outer skin.03-19-2009
