20110233986DUMPING VEHICLE - A dumping vehicle with a dump bed for holding and dumping material is disclosed. Embodiments include a coupler for coupling the dump bed with a tractor and a linkage connecting the dump bed and coupler, the linkage maintaining the orientation of the coupler steady during dumping. Embodiments include a linkage, dump bed and coupler forming a quadrilateral that deforms during dumping. The linkage can include two arms of different lengths, each pivotally connected to the dump bed and the coupler. In alternate embodiments, the dump bed and a rear support connect at a physical pivot location and the dump bed rotates about a location that is different from the physical pivot location and can rotate about a location that moves. The hinge assembly can include two hinge arms of different lengths that move the dump bed sill rearward and upward as the forward end of the dump bed is raised.09-29-2011
20110318148CABLE REEVING SYSTEM FOR LIFTING AND LOADING - A vehicle-mounted lift and cable reeving system attachable to a vehicle for loading, tilting and unloading containers is disclosed. A carriage assembly adapted to connect to the container is moved forward and rearward on a tilting frame by a cable reeving system. The cable reeving system includes a force actuator (e.g., hydraulic cylinder) that presses against the middle portion of a cable assembly attached to the frame and the carriage using, for example, pulleys. The cable assembly pulls the carriage assembly a greater distance than the force actuator travels and is capable of moving the carriage from the front to the rear of the frame. Other embodiments enhance stability during loading, unloading and dumping by including a rear hinge assembly that moves the rear end of the tilting frame downward to contact the support surface as the front end of the tilting frame is raised.12-29-2011

20080260534BLADE/DISK DOVETAIL BACKCUT FOR BLADE/DISK STRESS REDUCTION (7FA+E, STAGE 1) - Blade load path on a gas turbine disk can be diverted to provide a significant disk fatigue life benefit. A plurality of gas turbine blades are attachable to a gas turbine disk, where each of the gas turbine blades includes a blade dovetail engageable in a correspondingly-shaped dovetail slot in the gas turbine disk. In order to reduce gas turbine disk stress, an optimal material removal area is defined according to blade and/or disk geometry to maximize a balance between stress reduction on the gas turbine disk, a useful life of the gas turbine blade, and maintaining or improving the aeromechanical behavior of the gas turbine blade. Removing material from the material removal area effects the maximized balance.10-23-2008
