20110098360ADAMANTANE DERIVATIVE FOR INHIBITING TOXICITY OF AMYLOID OLIGOMER - Disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition containing a compound useful for inhibiting neurotoxicity caused by beta amyloid. The pharmaceutical composition of the present disclosure contains 1,3,5,7-tetrakis(aminomethyl)adamantane, an analogous compound thereof or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. The inventors have studied methods for reducing the toxicity of beta amyloid oligomers based on the formation mechanism of dodecamers in consideration of the fact that especially the dodecamers from among the beta amyloid oligomers exhibit a significant activity as a toxin for synapses and neurons in cranial nerve diseases. The inventors have confirmed that the disclosed compound can induce structural epitope deformation of the dodecamer and thereby reduce toxicity of the beta amyloid oligomers. The pharmaceutical composition containing the compound is useful for preventing and treating cranial nerve diseases developed by the toxicity of beta amyloid oligomers, for example, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, macular degeneration, prion disease, and the like (see FIG. 04-28-2011

20090241267Control method of washing machine - Disclosed herein is a control method of a washing machine that performs washing using bubbles. The control method may generate a large number of bubbles using a small amount of water to reduce water consumption and transmit detergent water to laundry placed in the washing machine effectively and rapidly using high-concentration detergent on the surfaces of the bubbles, thereby reducing time and energy consumption and improving washing efficiency. The bubbles may act as a cushion to reduce friction between laundry articles, thereby preventing expensive laundry (such as wool or silk) from being damaged due to the friction between the laundry articles and between the laundry and water and preventing damage to and deformation of general laundry when washing the laundry.10-01-2009
20100018258Detergent dissolving device and washing machine having the same - Disclosed are a detergent dissolving device for a washing machine capable of improving solubility of detergent, and a washing machine having the same. The detergent dissolving device includes a powdered detergent box, and the powdered detergent box includes a detergent receiving portion, and a water feed portion defined at a periphery of the detergent receiving portion to feed water into the detergent receiving portion so as to cause rotating motion of water received in the detergent receiving portion. The detergent dissolving device further includes a cover provided to open or close the detergent receiving portion. The cover includes a water discharge portion to discharge the water out of the detergent receiving portion.01-28-2010
20100263410WASHING MACHINE - Disclosed herein is a washing machine that performs washing using bubbles. The washing machine may include an air bubble unit to generate air bubbles in detergent water using external air naturally introduced thereinto by pressure difference caused when the detergent water passes therethrough, a water tub having an introduction port to allow the detergent water containing the air bubbles to be introduced thereinto, and a washing tub rotatably provided in the water tub, the washing tub having a plurality of through-holes having a size less than the introduction port such that the air bubbles rise to a surface of the detergent water contained in the water tub.10-21-2010
