20100193184SYSTEM AND METHOD OF MONITORING FLOW IN A WELLBORE - A system and method for releasing a marker within a wellbore is provided. The system and method includes a sensor that detects movement or a position of the marker within the wellbore. The marker may be released in drilling fluid, for example, and may travel from the surface to the drill bit and return to the surface with cuttings. As an example, the markers are used to determine the flow of cuttings within the wellbore.08-05-2010

20080237387Nozzle - The present invention provides apparatus for dispensing adhesive elements, provided at spaced apart locations along a tape, to a target location on a surface. The apparatus comprises means for accommodating said tape in coiled configuration, a rotatably mounted tape dispensing head for dispensing adhesive elements from the tape to said surface; and actuating means. The actuating means includes a handle rotatably mounted on said tape accommodating means and is operably associated with said dispensing head to rotate the dispensing head to present an adhesive element to said target location. The present invention also provides is a method of dispensing adhesive elements from a tape to a target location on a surface.10-02-2008

20100201009METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR FORMING OPHTHALMIC LENS MOLD ASSEMBLIES - Methods and systems are provided for making an ophthalmic lens. The present methods and systems are effecting in coupling two mold sections together at two or more discrete regions. Embodiments of the methods and systems form a bore that extends completely through one of the mold sections and only partially through the other mold section. During formation of the bore, the mold material in proximity to the bore being foamed becomes molten and diffuses from the bore. A portion of the molten mold material is provided at a contact point between the two mold sections and when the molten material cools, the material foams a spot weld between the mold sections. By foaming multiple hollow spot welds in a mold assembly, the two mold sections can be securely coupled to each other during the manufacture of an ophthalmic lens, such as a silicone hydrogel contact lens.08-12-2010
