20110304202BATTERY DISCONNECTION IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES - Systems and methods for disconnection of battery power from vehicular components in an electric vehicle upon the occurrence of a crash event are described. In an embodiment of an electric vehicle, upon detection of a crash event, an appropriate signal is transmitted through a controller area network (CAN). A battery management unit (BMU) detects the signal and then severs a power connection between the battery and one or more vehicular components of the electric vehicle. In another embodiment of an electric vehicle, a crash event is detected and a signal to deploy an airbag and/or a pretensioner is emitted. Once a decision is made to deploy the airbag and/or the to pretensioner, the BMU then cuts off battery power to one or more vehicular components of the electric vehicle.12-15-2011

20100198705MATCHING SESSION RECORDS OF NETWORK USERS WITH CORRESPONDING TRANSACTION DATA - A system for collecting data regarding network behaviors of users is disclosed. In one embodiment, the system combines session records of users with corresponding transaction records reflective of e-commerce transactions. The session records may, for example, be generated by one or more collection engines deployed by one or more Internet Service Providers. The transaction records may, for example, be obtained through interactions with one or more merchant web sites. By combining these two types of information, the system can, for example, identify a set of user actions that led to a particular purchase transaction.08-05-2010
20110255688METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING ONLINE COMPUTER NETWORK BEHAVIOR AND CREATING ONLINE BEHAVIOR PROFILES - A method and system for monitoring users on one or more computer networks, disassociating personally identifiable information from the collected data, and storing it in a database so that the privacy of the users is protected. In one embodiment, the system generates an anonymized identifier and associates that anonymized identifier with collected network data. An embodiment of the system may further anonymize data such as resource location identifiers, by identifying and removing personal information.10-20-2011
