20090308552MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE HAVING CELLULOSE TYPE-II CRYSTALLINE STRUCTURE, AND MOLDED ARTICLE CONTAINING THE MICROFIBRILLATED CELLULOSE - Although a microfibrillated cellulose has been conventionally added to a resin molded article for the purpose of improving the properties of resin such as strength, it is only possible to achieve the same level of strength as that of the resin itself. The object is to provide a resin molded article of greater strength. A molded article can be produced by blending resin with a microfibrillated cellulose having a type-II crystalline structure produced by treating a microfibrillated cellulose with an alkali solution. The molded article can be largely increased in tensile strength or flexural strength, tensile strain at break or flexural strain at break, and fracture toughness (work-of-fracture) compared to a molded article produced with resin containing a conventional microfibrillated cellulose.12-17-2009

20090142787Albumin Denaturing Agent - An albumin denaturing agent for digesting an albumin by a protease efficiently is provided. The albumin denaturing agent contains quaternary ammonium having a hydrocarbon group with a carbon number of 12 or more, or a salt of the quaternary ammonium. The albumin in a sample is digested by the protease in the presence of the albumin denaturing agent, a glycated part of the thus obtained albumin digestion product and a FAOD effect a reaction, and a redox reaction between the glycated part and the FAOD is measured, thereby determining a ratio (GA (%)) of the glycated albumin of the glycated albumin with respect to the albumin.06-04-2009

20090169935Fuel Cell System - There is provided a fuel cell system capable of warming up a fuel cell while inhibiting generation of a rush current. A control device switches the connection/disconnection between a fuel cell and a short circuit by a shorting relay. The control device spends, before switching the shorting relay from disconnection to connection during starting at a low temperature, an oxidizing gas remaining in the cathode of the fuel cell by driving auxiliary devices to generate an oxidizing gas-deficient state. Then, the control device switches FC relays from ON to OFF and the shorting relay from OFF to ON to thereby complete the preparation for supplying a short-circuit current.07-02-2009

20090056853LIQUID CRYSTAL MEDIUM FOR POLYMERIZATION ALIGNMENT PROCESS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME - A liquid crystal (LC) medium for polymerization alignment process includes at least a set of LC molecules, at least a set of reactive monomers, and at least one inhibitor at a concentration in a range of 0.01-1% wt of the reactive monomer. The inhibitor quenches polymerization of radicals of the reactive monomers, which is triggered by light or heat before the polymerization alignment process. Therefore influence on the reactive monomers before the polymerization alignment process is reduced and stability of the LC medium is improved.03-05-2009
20090111349METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY - A method for manufacturing LCD includes providing a bottom substrate, applying a sealant on its top surface, providing a liquid crystal mixture including a vertical alignment liquid crystal material and at least one reactive monomer which are surrounded by the sealant, providing a top substrate so that its bottom surface covers the sealant and the bottom substrate, performing a pre-curing process to pre-cure the sealant under a first temperature, and performing an active curing process under a second temperature, wherein the second temperature is higher than the first temperature.04-30-2009
20100097543Liquid Crystal Display Structure - A liquid crystal display structure is provided. The liquid crystal display structure includes a liquid crystal panel and a backlight module. The liquid crystal panel has a liquid crystal layer including photo-polymerizable monomers. The backlight module has a light emitting unit for emitting an output light. A difference between the smallest value of the spectrum interval of the output light and the largest value of the absorption spectrum interval of the photo-polymerizable monomer in the liquid crystal layer is larger than or equal to 40 nm.04-22-2010
20110080541LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING POLYMER STABILITY ALIGNMENT PROCESS WITH SEALANT PRE-CURING PROCESS - A liquid crystal display (LCD) includes a bottom substrate having a top surface; a sealant located on the top surface of the bottom substrate, wherein the sealant has a pre-curing temperature; a liquid crystal mixture including a liquid crystal material and at least one reactive monomer located on the top surface of the bottom substrate and surrounded by the sealant, the at least one reactive monomer having a melting point higher than 120° C., wherein the melting point of the reactive monomer is higher than the pre-curing temperature of the sealant; at least one polymer layer polymerized from the reactive monomer, located between the bottom substrate and the liquid crystal material; and a top substrate covering the sealant and the bottom substrate to seal the liquid crystal mixture and the at least one polymer layer.04-07-2011
