20110215929SYSTEM FOR TESTING REUSABLE ELECTRONIC ARTICLE SURVEILLANCE TAGS AND METHOD THEREFOR - A system and method for automatically sorting, cleaning, testing and counting reusable visible source tags (VSTs) and for detecting and rejecting tags that are not functioning within predetermined parameters. The system includes a first sub-system that stores and feeds the VSTs to a vibratory bowl where they are initialized. A second sub-system transfers the tags from the vibratory bowl and sorts the tags assuring the tags are reusable rather than disposable tags. A third sub-system tests the reusable tags to assure compliance with select parameters such as frequency and amplitude. If the reusable tags comply with the parameters then they are deemed activatable. The system may also automatically sort and count the accepted and rejected tags. The system disclosed herein is capable of testing VSTs at a high speeds, e.g., up to 150 units per minute, with the required quality level and reliability.09-08-2011

20110073599Dust control cover for a refuse bin - The dust control cover for a refuse bin is removably installed atop a refuse bin, dumpster, or similar container. The cover has a truncated pyramid configuration, with a series of doors in the sides and top. A system of perforated pipes or tubes is preferably installed within the cover. The pipes connect to a water inlet fitting extending through the cover wall. A water supply (garden hose, etc.) is connected to the fitting, and the water is turned on to produce a fine spray or mist within the cover and its underlying refuse bin, thereby wetting down the contained materials to reduce or eliminate hazardous airborne dust or particulates from the material. The cover may include forklift pockets to facilitate installation and removal of the cover upon and from the bin, and a series of latch pin assemblies for positively securing the cover to the bin.03-31-2011

20100162977Rotationally Balanced Camshaft Assembly - A method for intentionally imbalancing one or more mass elements of a camshaft assembly to provide overall rotational balance to the assembly, also referred to herein as “zero balance”. Such intentional imbalance may be imparted to any element of a camshaft assembly. In a currently-preferred embodiment, one or more components of an improved camshaft phaser assembly are manufactured as rotationally unbalanced, either by intentionally forming an unbalanced component such as a sprocket wheel having added material or by removing non-functional material from an otherwise standard component. Because the camshaft phaser assembly has a unique and fixed angular relationship to the camshaft, zero balance can be readily and repeatedly achieved for all camshaft assemblies by correct manufacture of parts without requiring separate balancing for each individual camshaft assembly as manufactured.07-01-2010
