| 20080311155 | Strain-Independent Amplification of Pathogens and Vaccines Thereto - This in invention relates to methods for the nucleic acid amplification of multiple variants (strains) of any pathogen present in a sample, and preferably in a sample from a pathogen infected individual. In preferred embodiments, the pathogen is a retrovirus, such as HIV. The amplified pathogen nucleic acid can be used to identify the pathogen variants present in a sample, to quantitate the pathogen present in a sample, and as a nucleic acid vaccine, or in the preparation of antigen presenting cell vaccines. Nucleic acids produced by the methods of the invention or the proteins encoded thereby can be used to transfect/load antigen presenting cells. The loaded antigen presenting cells can then be used as a vaccine for the treatment of pathogen infection. In another embodiment, nucleic acids produced by the methods of the invention can be used directly as nucleic acid vaccines without prior loading into antigen presenting cells. | 12-18-2008 |

| 20110081327 | TRANSIENT EXPRESSION OF IMMUNOMODULATORY POLYPEPTIDES FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE, ALLERGY AND TRANSPLANT REJECTION - A method is provided for treating or preventing an undesired immune response in a patient, comprising: administering to said patient, cells that transiently express, and/or that are transfected with mRNA encoding, one or more polypeptides selected from the group consisting of an IL-4 receptor agonist, an IFN-γ receptor antagonist, an IFN-α receptor antagonist, an IL-12 receptor antagonist, an IL-23 receptor antagonist, and a TNF antagonist. Preferably, the cells selectively accumulate in one or more secondary lymphoid tissues at or proximate to the site of the undesired immune response. Related compositions are provided. The methods and compositions are useful for the treatment or prevention of undesired immune responses including, but not limited to, transplant rejection, autoimmune disease, allergy and immune responses directed against therapeutic compositions. | 04-07-2011 |

| 20090029790 | Golf Clubs and Methods of Manufacture - Embodiments of golf clubs and methods of manufacture are generally described herein. In one embodiment, a golf club bead has a toe region having a top portion and a bottom portion, and a heel region opposite the toe region also having a top portion and a bottom portion. The club head has a hosel at the top portion of the heel region, a back face, and a front face opposite the back face. The club head has a first weight at a perimeter of the back face, and a second weight at the back face. The second weight is located at the bottom portion of the toe region, and farther away from the back face than the first weight. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. | 01-29-2009 |
| 20090029795 | Golf Clubs and Methods of Manufacture - Embodiments of golf clubs and methods of manufacture are generally described herein. A golf club has a shaft and a body coupled to the shaft. The body has a toe end, a heel end opposite the toe end, a front end, a back, end opposite the front end, a front face at the front end, a top wall, and a bottom wall opposite the top wall. The body also has a body height measured in a first direction substantially normal to the bottom wall as measured from the bottom wall to a top point of the front face. The body also has a center of gravity and a center of gravity height measured in the first direction along a center of gravity line that extends from the bottom wall to the center of gravity. Other embodiments may be described and claimed. | 01-29-2009 |
