20090060891 | High Concentration Self-Microemulsifying Coenzyme Q10 Preparations For Nutritional Use - A method and composition are presented for enhancing the dissolution and bioavailable properties of CoQ10 nutritional supplements and/or therapeutic agents for a human being and other mammals. The method includes preparing an anhydrous self-microemulsifying base composition by combining: CoQ10, a water-immiscible, and a non-ionic surfactant, containing polyethylene glycol. For an orally administered CoQ10 nutritional supplement in a capsule formulation, a unit dosage from the composition is added to a dissolvable capsule, preferably a soft gelatin capsule, in order to form the nutritional supplement. When a capsule containing the self-microemulsifying composition enters the digestive tract, the temperature of the body's digestive juices warms the composition, causing any of the CoQ10 that may have re-crystallized out of the composition to become re-dissolved into the composition before the capsule dissolves. The re-dissolution of CoQ10 is bioavailable when the capsule dissolves. Upon dissolution of the capsule, the self-microemulsifying composition comes into contact with the digestive juices and naturally forms micellar-type bioavaible microemulsions, consisting of micelles containing CoQ10. In addition to the capsule formulation, the invention includes parenteral, liquid, topical and ophthalmic formulations. | 03-05-2009 |

20130131186 | Microemulsion Preparation of High Concentration Propofol for Anesthetic Uses - The invention provides a method and a composition for enhancing the dissolution and bioavailable properties of propofol (2, 6 diisopropyl phenol) for use as an intravenously administered anesthetic in mammals. The method produces a self-microemulsifyable emulsion base composition that is utilized in the production of a water-based microemulsion preparation. In a preferred two (2) component base composition, the base composition consists of: a surfactant, containing polyethylene glycol; and liquid propofol. The microemulsion is prepared by mixing the base composition with a carrier liquid, which results in the formation of a microemulsion containing concentrations of propofol of up to about 4% by weight of propofol to the volume of the microemulsion. In a four (4) component base composition, the base composition consists of: a surfactant, containing polyethylene glycol; liquid propofol; a water-immiscible solvent; and ethanol. The microemulsion is prepared by mixing the base composition with a carrier liquid, which results in the formation of a microemulsion containing concentrations of propofol of up to about 10% by weight of propofol to the volume of the microemulsion. | 05-23-2013 |

20110167245 | Task list generation, parallelism templates, and memory management for multi-core systems - There is provided a multi-core system that provides automated task list generation, parallelism templates, and memory management. By constructing, profiling, and analyzing a sequential list of functions to be executed in a parallel fashion, corresponding parallel execution templates may be stored for future lookup in a database. A processor may then select a subset of functions from the sequential list of functions based on input data, select a template from the template database based on particular matching criteria such as high-level task parameters, finalize the template by resolving pointers and adding or removing transaction control blocks, and forward the resulting optimized task list to a scheduler for distribution to multiple slave processing cores. The processor may also analyze data dependencies between tasks to consolidate tasks working on the same data to a single core, thereby implementing memory management and efficient memory locality. | 07-07-2011 |

20090001202 | Frozen Block Grinder - A grinding machine has a shearing chamber that includes one or more edges that provide fulcrum points against which frozen block of material, such as frozen blocks of meat, can be held against during a reduction or shearing process. The edges may be arranged to limit the advancement of reduced blocks of material to provide more control on the size of the ground material that is ultimately output by the grinding machine. The grinding machine may also include an expansion zone into which reduced blocks can be temporarily held to accommodate volume increases during the reduction process. A feed screw advances the frozen blocks through the shearing chamber and includes pressure flighting to help shear material from the frozen blocks. The feed screw may include a knife holder that provides support for a knife held therein against the lateral forces experienced by the knife as the knife shears material adjacent the orifice plate. | 01-01-2009 |
20110107583 | METHOD OF MOUNTING AN ORIFICE PLATE GUARD TO A GRINDING MACHINE - Self-correcting plate guards for installation over an orifice plate of a grinding machine are disclosed. Each plate guard has studs that fit into apertures of an orifice plate. The studs and apertures are sized so that the correct guard must be used with a particular orifice plate. Furthermore, the mounting ring that holds the orifice plate in place on the grinding machine cannot be tightened for use of the grinding machine without the plate guard being installed. | 05-12-2011 |
20110220749 | Grinder With Expansion Zone - A grinding machine has a shearing chamber that includes one or more edges that provide fulcrum points against which frozen block of material, such as frozen blocks of meat, can be held against during a reduction or shearing process. 20110248109 | Separator For A Grinding Machine - A grinding machine for grinding foodstuffs, such as meat or the like, includes an orifice plate at the outlet of a grinding head. The orifice plate has collection passages that discharge a mixture of soft material and hard material through the orifice plate. A separator assembly is located downstream of the orifice plate for separating the soft material from the hard material. The separator assembly includes a tapered, perforated separator chamber that receives the mixture of soft material and hard material, in combination with a rotatable separator screw located within the separator chamber. Rotation of the separator screw functions to separate the soft material from the hard material and force the soft material through the perforations in the separator chamber. An adjustment arrangement enables the axial position of the separator screw to be adjusted within the separator chamber. | 10-13-2011 |
