20120011563NETWORK INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM - A network security system takes an active approach to network security. This is accomplished by providing intelligence about other networks. A master network intelligence database is established that uses a plurality of network information agents for gathering information about networks and providing the information to the master network intelligence database. A customer network security system is then able to secure the customer network in dependence upon information received from the master network intelligence. Security information includes at least one of hostility level on the Internet, collected from numerous sites; security event history; spam levels; hosted services; public wireless; organization type; organization associations; peer ISPs; bandwidth connection to the Internet; active security measures; number of users on the network; age of the network; inappropriate content served; industry; geographic placement; open proxy servers; and contact information.01-12-2012

20090048904METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING TOPICAL ON-LINE INFLUENCE OF AN ENTITY - A method and system for determining topical on-line influence of an entity are disclosed. An influence value of one social media outlet, such as a blog or social networking site, is calculated based on viral properties extracted from publications or posts by the entity through the social media outlet. When the entity has a number of social media outlets associated with it, the topical on-line influence value of the entity is determined based on the influence value of each of the associated social media outlets.02-19-2009
20090192896METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TARGETED ADVERTISING BASED ON TOPICAL MEMES - A targeted advertising system and method based on memes contained in content sources are disclosed. Content matching keywords-defining topics are identified from content sources and are further processed to extract the memes. Ad networks servicing the content are also identified and their reach for each meme determined. The system and method extract also viral dynamics of the content associated to a meme and use the aggregation of the viral dynamics as a measure of engagement level for the meme. The system and method allow a Marketer to select a meme based on the engagement level and to run an ad campaign against the meme. The advertisements are delivered through an Ad network and inserted at the meme page level when the content hosting the meme is accessed, the Ad network being selected based on its reach.07-30-2009
20090281851METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING ON-LINE INFLUENCE IN SOCIAL MEDIA - A method and system for determining on-line influence in social media is disclosed. A recursive site influence modeling module computes a site influence from aggregated viral properties of content hosted by the site and further integrates, in the formulation of the site influence model, the influence of commentors, commenting on the hosted content, and the influence of individuals cited in the content. The influence of the commentors and individuals is calculated by aggregating viral properties of related content and as well by taking into account the influence of outlets owned by the commentors and the individuals.11-12-2009
20110314142REFERRED INTERNET TRAFFIC ANALYSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD - Methods and a system for exploiting the secondary traffic generated by social networking sites are disclosed. Traffic on a commercial website is constantly monitored by a web analytics tool, which collects traffic measurements of hits, button presses, enquiries, purchases etc, as well as the referrer URL of a site such as a social networking site through which the commercial website is accessed. The collected measurements are forwarded to a Referred Traffic Analysis System. Concurrently, the Referred Traffic Analysis System crawls the Internet and collects a large number of social networking sites, analyses their content by extracting insight terms and phrases from them. In a third step, the collected traffic measurements are correlated with the collected insights from the social networking sites, and the top insights that reoccur frequently enough to appear to be a driver for the measurements observed, are presented to the client. A corresponding system is also provided.12-22-2011

20090157668METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASURING AN IMPACT OF VARIOUS CATEGORIES OF MEDIA OWNERS ON A CORPORATE BRAND - A method and system for determining influence of various categories of content sources on a selected brand is disclosed. The method defines a brand profile using terms and URLs associated with the selected brand and queries popular search engines using the terms and URLs as search terms. The results are classified according to their category of content sources and a brand ownership score is calculated from the classified results and from other weights associated to the ranks of the results, to the category of content sources and to the search engines. The category of content sources having ownership of the selected brand is then identified from the brand ownership score.06-18-2009

20110219554BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION AND METHOD OF REPLACING BRIDGES - A bridge replacement method is disclosed. The bridge includes a deck supported by a pair of abutments, each abutment having wing walls. The deck is removed, footings are cast in holes dug behind each abutment and a pier is provided on each footing. Substantially parallel and coplanar cambered beams are provided. Each beam spans between and is supported by the piers. A brace assembly reinforces the beam camber. On each adjacent pair of beams, precast deck elements are placed, such that each element of said plurality spans the beam pair, to define at least transverse gaps between the elements and put the upper surfaces of the elements in compression in a transverse direction. The gaps are grouted. After grout curing, the brace is adjusted to reduce the beam camber and cause the upper surface of the elements to also be put into compression in a direction parallel to the beams.09-15-2011

20090094922LOW PROFILE REINFORCING TAPE - A reinforcing tape for imbedding in a joint compound, has reinforcing yarns defining openings for passage of the joint compound, wherein; the openings are bounded by the yarns; the yarns are provided with one or more coatings adding tensile strength and resistance to pull out of the yarns from the joint compound.04-16-2009
20090239430Exterior Finishing System and Building Wall Containing a Corrosion-Resistant Enhanced Thickness Fabric and Method of Constructing Same - A corrosion-resistant lath is provided for use in exterior finishing systems, such as stucco systems and exterior insulation and finish systems (“EIFS”). The lath includes in a first embodiment an open, woven fabric comprising weft and warp yarns containing non-metallic fibers, such as glass fibers. A portion of the weft yarns are undulated, resulting in an increased thickness for the fabric. The fabric is coated with a polymeric resin for substantially binding the weft yarns in the undulated condition. This invention also includes methods for making an exterior finish system and building wall including an exterior finish system using such a lath.09-24-2009
20090291603Enhanced Thickness Fabric and Method of Making Same - The present invention provides thickened fabrics and reinforcements for use as a spacer or reinforcement for a matrix system. The fabric includes in a first embodiment a woven fabric comprising weft and warp yarns containing glass fibers. A portion of the weft yarns are undulated into a sinusoidal path forming a generally “C” shaped bridge between adjacent warp yarns which results in an increased thickness for the fabric. The fabric is coated with a polymeric resin or bonding agent, for substantially binding the weft yarns in the undulated condition. This invention also includes methods for making such fabric by increasing the thickness of a woven or non-woven material by such methods as applying tension to warp yarns having opposite twists during weaving operations, or using unbalanced yarns, for example.11-26-2009
