20080319528MODULAR ENDOPROSTHESIS WITH FLEXIBLE INTERCONNECTORS BETWEEN MODULES - A modular endoprosthesis is configured to have improved flexibility during and after deployment by having separate endoprosthetic modules that are interconnected by flexible interconnectors. The modular endoprosthesis includes a plurality of separate endoprosthetic modules positioned adjacently so that a first end of a first endoprosthetic module is adjacent to an end of a second endoprosthetic module and a second end of the first endoprosthetic module is adjacent to an end of a third endoprosthetic module. Additionally, the modular endoprosthesis includes a plurality of flexible interconnectors coupled to the plurality of separate endoprosthetic modules so as to interconnect the first end of the first endoprosthetic module with the end of the second endoprosthetic module with a first flexible interconnector, and interconnect the second end of the first endoprosthetic module with the end of the third endoprosthetic module with a second flexible interconnector.12-25-2008
20100318170PROXIMAL CATHETER FLAP FOR MANAGING WIRE TWIST - A stent delivery system for treating a diseased bifurcation vessel having a catheter with a securement feature. The delivery system includes a dual lumen catheter with one or more balloons and a specialized stent having a side port mounted on the balloon. The securement feature is a flap that retains a side branch guide wire near the catheter body and wherein the distal tip of the guide wire is positioned near the side port of the stent. At the bifurcation, the side branch guide wire is freed from the flap to advance into the side branch vessel through the stent side port.12-16-2010

20090018501Drug Coated Balloon Catheter - The present invention relates to balloon catheters for treating a luminal system of a patient. Specifically, the invention relates to catheters having a flexible membrane positioned at a distal portion of the catheter, the flexible membrane retained in a substantially unexposed conformation prior to deployment. Preferably the flexible membrane is capable of delivering a therapeutic agent to a localized environment when deployed to an exposed conformation.01-15-2009
20090254051DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATING VULNERABLE PLAQUE - A device and method is provided for localized agent delivery through a coronary vessel. In one configuration, the device includes an elongated member having a first and second end with a tip and an aperture positioned near the second end. An injection lumen places the first end of the elongated member in fluid communication with the aperture, permitting fluids such as contrast agent or therapeutic agents to be delivered therebetween. In an exemplary method, the device is tracked through a bend in the coronary anatomy, forcing the tip of the device toward the greater curve and through the vessel wall. The aperture may advanced to the desired location and agents may be delivered through the device into target tissue or space. Other configurations and embodiments of the device and method are presented,10-08-2009

20100010622HYBRID SEGMENTED ENDOPROSTHESIS - Generally, the present disclosure includes a hybrid segmented endoprosthesis for delivery into a lumen of a body. The hybrid segmented endoprosthesis has different types of segments that are joined together. The segments are typically distinct and distinguishable from each other by each segment having a unique configuration different from at least one other segment. Additionally, the segments can be coupled together by various processes well known for interconnecting the materials of endoprostheses. The segmented endoprosthesis can provide improved deliverability, strength, flexibility, and/or functionality during and after deployment. The use of a segmented endoprosthesis can combine the configurations of multiple small endoprostheses into a standard- or regular-sized endoprosthesis.01-14-2010
20100076377Expandable Member Formed Of A Fibrous Matrix Having Hydrogel Polymer For Intraluminal Drug Delivery - An intraluminal catheter device having an expandable member formed of a matrix of fiber elements, the expandable member including a hydrogel polymer having a therapeutic agent incorporated therein. The hydrogel polymer can be coated on the fiber elements in a co-axial configuration. The fiber elements may also have a second coating including a protective substance surrounding the hydrogel polymer having a therapeutic agent therein. The matrix of fiber elements can be formed by electrospinning. A process of delivering a therapeutic agent to a target site includes providing an intraluminal catheter device having an expandable member formed of a matrix of fiber elements, the expandable member including a hydrogel polymer having a therapeutic agent dispersed therein, and advancing the catheter device at a desired treatment site. Once at the desired treatment site, fluid is introduced into the inflation lumen to expand the expandable member from a first profile to a second profile, and the therapeutic agent is released from the hydrogel polymer and delivered to the desired treatment site.03-25-2010
20100076401Expandable Member Having A Covering Formed Of A Fibrous Matrix For Intraluminal Drug Delivery - The present invention generally relates to an intraluminal catheter device for use in angioplasty and delivery of a therapeutic agent. Particularly, the present invention is directed to a catheter having an expandable member having a therapeutic agent disposed thereon and a fibrous matrix covering for delivering a therapeutic agent and methods of using the same.03-25-2010
