20100129506METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUS PROCESSING OF WHOLE MUSCLE MEAT PRODUCTS - A continuous method and system for processing whole muscle meat employs a mixer housing having a pair of parallel rotating shafts located therein. The parallel rotating shafts have a plurality of mixing elements thereon, such as frustoconical elements, blocking elements, or ellipsoid elements. The mixer housing has an input end to receive the meat ingredients, such as meat pieces, salt solution, water, preservatives, and other additives such as spices. The mixer housing has an output, which is separated a distance from the input, such that the output discharges the whole muscle meat product. As the ingredients including the meat move from the input to the output along the shafts, the mixing elements work the meat with the other ingredients thereby increasing ingredient incorporation including diffusion of the salt solution into the whole muscle meat pieces.05-27-2010
20110293817HOME-STYLE MEAT PRODUCT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME - Methods and apparatus are disclosed for producing irregular pieces of meat from meat products. Further, a method of mass-producing a home-style meat product with an irregular appearance includes combining whole muscle meat with a mixture having a low-phosphate solution and/or a low-salt solution and cooking the combination to produce whole muscle meat logs. Once the whole muscle meat has been cooked, the meat may be pulled, shredded, or sliced on a variety of pulling, shredding, and slicing equipment to create a home-style meat product with an irregular appearance.12-01-2011

20100152781VERTEBRAL TEMPLATE SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF USE - Template systems and methods of use are disclosed herein for use in conjunction with corresponding spinal fusion plates. Preferred templates are slotted to allow for use with distractor pins and a distractor. Additionally preferred templates include windows to allow the operating surgeon to have more visibility of the intervertebral area, including the graft. After the appropriate sized template has been placed against the targeted vertebrae, holding pins can be placed into the vertebral bodies to help guide the fusion plate and to compress the intervertebral space.06-17-2010
20100292693Spinal Marker System and Methods of Use - Temporary, radiographically opaque, bone markers having first and second penetration members that are concentric with one another and are configured to pierce bone are provided herein. Bone markers can non-exclusively be used to help verify the correct surgical site along the vertebrae, locate the vertical midline, and as a fixed point for aligning surgical instruments. Insertion and extraction devices for use with the bone markers are also provided herein.11-18-2010
20120065688LOW-PROFILE ANTERIOR VERTEBRAL PLATE ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE - Low-profile anterior vertebral plate assemblies and methods of use are disclosed herein. The plate assemblies herein are useful for coupling adjacent vertebral bodies together. Preferred vertebral plates assemblies herein are low-profile, meaning that the assemblies herein are positioned partially within and partially outside of the intervertebral space. Additional teachings are directed to hinged low-profile anterior vertebral plate assemblies that allow slight flexion towards the vertebral bodies in a sufficient amount to prevent kyphosis, and encourage a desired amount of lordosis.03-15-2012
