TRANSPORTATION MODE DETERMINATION IN NON-MASS CASUALTY TRIAGE - Transportation mode determination in non-mass casualty triage is provided and involves receiving, from incident personnel at a casualty scene, patient screening information for a victim or victims at the casualty scene. Location screening information for the victim or victims is also established and received. Victim eligibility for Medevac transport is determined by logically factoring the patient screening information and the location screening information. The determination can be performed by computer implemented decision logic. In addition to determining eligibility of the victim or victims for Medevac transport, transportation mode determination (e.g., what type of transportation) can be established for those determined eligible, determination of whether to transport to a trauma center or care facility, determination/selection of a specific trauma center or care facility for treatment, and/or a determination of an order of treatment, or transport for treatment, for each of the victims. | 12-22-2011

Biopsy Device - A biopsy device such as a core sampling biopsy device compatible with use in a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) environment by being driven by either a pneumatic rotary motor or a piezoelectric drive motor is disclosed. The core sampling biopsy device obtains a tissue sample, such as a breast tissue biopsy sample, for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. The biopsy device may include an outer cannula having a distal piercing tip, a cutter lumen, a side tissue port communicating with the cutter lumen, and at least one fluid passageway disposed distally of the side tissue port. The inner cutter may be advanced in the cutter lumen past the side tissue port to sever a tissue sample. | 02-25-2010

RETRACTABLE HYPODERMIC SYRINGE - A hypodermic syringe includes a barrel with a plunger slidably extending therein. The barrel may include a barrel adapter at one end to define a luer hub socket and the outer walls of slots in the barrel. The plunger includes an outer plunger element and an inner plunger element telescoping together with a bungee resisting extension of the assembly. The inner and outer plunger elements may be locked in the extended position with the bungee in tension. A seal stop is located at the seal end of the plunger to define an annular pinch therewith to hold an annular seal in radial extension sealing against the internal sidewall of the barrel. A luer hub is fixed at the needle end of the barrel, A plunger cap may be advanced after injection to rotate the plunger. A resistance lock retains the cap and plunger indexed until actuation. The rotation actuates latches and locking fingers on the luer hub to engage a probe axially and rotationally on the seal end of the plunger and disengage the slots in the barrel, respectively. The rotation disengages the seal stop to release the annular seal and finally releases the engagement between the outer plunger element and inner plunger element. The foregoing provides for the retraction of the luer hub and associated needle into the barrel. | 02-12-2009

ANCHORING SYSTEM AND METHOD - An anchor system includes an anchoring device and at least one of a restriction indicator and a load isolation device in operable communication with the anchoring device and method. | 09-16-2010
Milling Tool for Establishing Openings in Wellbore Obstructions - A milling tool which includes a nose cutting portion, a cutting section having a plurality of hardened cutters and a shaft portion. A wear pad is disposed on the cutting section and shaft portion. Upon the shaft portion, the wear pad extends radially outwardly to an engagement diameter that exceeds the maximum cutting diameter of the cutters. | 10-06-2011
