20090327427METHOD OF AGGREGATING BUSINESS AND SOCIAL NETWORKS - A method and system for facilitating relationships across multiple networks is described. The meta-network includes relationship information describing users, the networks to which such users belong, and the relationships that they have established within such networks. When a relationship is established in a network, it can be used to propagate relationships across any number of networks with the same or different users. The meta-network enhances the users' ability to search for information and manage their relationships across multiple networks. A user can search for other users according to one or more user-specified attributes. One or more users satisfying the user-specified attributes are identified, and a similarity measure may be determined for each of the identified users. A mapping interface is displayed to the user to enable the user to visually compare the identified users having a similarity measure within the displayed range. The mapping interface allows the user to invite one or more of the displayed users to establish a relationship with the user.12-31-2009

20110296064UPLINK DATA THROTTLING BY BUFFER STATUS REPORT (BSR) SCALING - A technique for uplink data throttling includes buffer status report (BSR) scaling. A target data flow rate may be determined based on at least on condition of a wireless device. The buffer status report may be adjusted to cause the target flow rate and transmitted by the wireless device. The wireless device may then receive a flow control command based on the buffer status report.12-01-2011

20120039176METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DOWNLINK FLOW CONTROL IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - Methods and apparatus for downlink rate control by a user equipment (UE) (e.g., when an overload condition happens at the UE) are provided. For example, the UE may experience CPU overload, CPU near-overload, memory overload, memory near-overload, overheating or near-overheating. For certain aspects, the UE may simulate a “degraded channel” in order to cause an eNodeB to lower a transmission rate or block-size as it would in response to receiving an indication of bad channel conditions. The UE may simulate a degraded channel by modifying a channel quality indicator (CQI) and transmitting negative acknowledgment (NACK) messages to the eNodeB. Therefore, the eNodeB may be responsible for guaranteeing quality of service (QoS) based on the new degraded channel condition. In other aspects, UE downlink flow control is achieved by dropping hybrid automatic repeat request (HARM) packets or reducing a radio link control (RLC) receive window size when an overload condition occurs.02-16-2012

20090110124Soft decision enhancement - A Viterbi trellis processing technique in which soft decisions and hard decisions are derived from a received signal and the soft decisions are enhanced by being modified using the hard decisions. A log likelihood ratio for a bit of the received signal can be derived by grouping candidate metrics associated with the decision that the bit has a first state, grouping candidate metrics associated with the decision that the bit has a second state, applying respective functions to the groups and calculating the difference of the function values.04-30-2009
20090304121RECEIVER ARCHITECTURE - A wireless receiver uses a joint detection Viterbi (JDV) algorithm to demodulate a signal that has a desired signal component and an interference signal component. The desired signal component includes a training sequence and at least one data field. The training sequence and a corresponding portion of the interference signal component is demodulated using the JDV algorithm to evaluate possible transmitted training sequences and interference signal sequences, and channel estimations for the desired signal component and the interference signal component are generated. The at least one data field is demodulated according to the JDV algorithm using the channel estimations as initial channel estimates for the JDV algorithm.12-10-2009
20090304122RECEIVER ARCHITECTURE - A receiver adaptively selects between a joint detection Viterbi demodulator and a second Viterbi demodulator to demodulate a received signal based on at least one characteristic of the received signal. The joint detection Viterbi demodulator jointly demodulates a desired signal component and an interference signal component of the received signal, and the second Viterbi demodulator demodulates the desired signal component without demodulating the interference signal component.12-10-2009

20090204612APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DYNAMIC WEB SERVICE DISCOVERY - An apparatus and method is provided to dynamically search for available Web services by persistently searching a distributed multi-level UDDI registry chain, interrogating their published technical specifications and enabling the consumer to find, bind, and invoke the desired Web service in real-time and without intervention by the consumer. The search criteria includes identifying candidate published services that fall within an acceptable margin of error based on information previously published within a consumer service profile. The measure of conformance between the registry semantic map and consumer service profile is parameterized and chosen by the consumer in advance. The service profile includes an XML schema which exposes consumer profile metadata and corresponding information sets used by a rules engine for pattern matching purposes.08-13-2009

20110062116SELF-BLOWOUT CIRCUIT BREAKER HAVING A FILLING AND OVERPRESSURE VALVE - A self-blowout circuit breaker is disclosed which includes contacts for connecting or disconnecting a circuit, a heating volume, a compression volume and an exhaust volume. The compression volume can be connected to the heating volume by at least one first valve, which heating volume is in turn connected to an arc zone. Upon the disconnection of the circuit, while a first arcing contact is being disconnected from an associated second arcing contact, an arc is produced between the two arcing contacts in the arc zone. The compression volume is separated from the exhaust volume by a combined filling and overpressure valve which is formed as at least one plate, and has at least one tab which is formed in the plate.03-17-2011
20110163069GAS-INSULATED HIGH-VOLTAGE SWITCH - The high-voltage switch exhibits a compression space of small dimensions, in which, on interruption of a current, insulating gas exhibiting quenching characteristics is compressed mechanically to form quenching gas with the aid of an operating mechanism of the switch. When a small current is interrupted, a sufficient quantity of quenching gas can thus be provided with little mechanical operating force. When a large current is interrupted, quenching gas communicates from the compression space into an expansion volume above a response pressure, keeping the operating force low, of a pressure relief valve. A large quantity of quenching gas is then available for successfully interrupting a large current whilst the operating force is kept low.07-07-2011
