| 20090038495 | PLATEN ASSEMBLY - A platen assembly for a printer comprised of a platen roller assembly and a housing assembly that is structured to rotatably support the platen roller assembly. More particularly, the present invention is directed to a platen roller assembly comprising a platen roller defining first and second ends; a locking pin extending from at least one of the first and second ends of the platen roller; a housing assembly adapted to rotatably support the platen roller; and a drive assembly structured to rotatably engage the locking pin extending from one end of the platen roller. In this regard, the present invention provides a platen roller assembly that is simple, easily alignable, and readily replaceable by a user. | 02-12-2009 |

| 20100058531 | Plumbing Enclosure With Easy To Assemble Components - A plumbing fixture enclosure which has a bathtub or shower receptor and enclosure walls. The lower tub/receptor has an upper rim on which rests a rear wall. A side wall is pivotably connected at its upper rear to an upper front side of the rear wall and then pivots downwardly to create a horizontal watertight seal between the side and rear walls. Simultaneously, a lower retaining finger at the front bottom of the side wall catches between an insert on the upper rim and the upper rim. | 03-11-2010 |

| 20100311726 | REDUCTION OF BETA-AMYLOID LEVELS BY TREATMENT WITH THE SMALL MOLECULE DIFFERENTIATION-INDUCING FACTOR - The present invention relates to novel uses for a family of small molecules, Differentiation-Inducing Factors (DIFs). It has been discovered that DIFs surprisingly can alter the metabolic processing of amyloid precursor protein (APP) and in turn reduce the level of secreted Aβ. The metabolic processing of other γ-secretase substrates normally present in cells (Notch and APLP1) is not affected when treated with DIF. The invention provides methods for reducing Aβ production in mammalian cells that express APP by administering DIF-I, DIF-2, DIF-3, a functionally equivalent analog and or any combination thereof. The invention also provides methods for treating and/or preventing Alzheimer's disease by preferentially reducing Aβ production. | 12-09-2010 |
