Durable, flexible pet toy with transparent cover - A pet toy comprises an elastic core, a napped surface and an outer cover. The elastic core defines a shape of the pet toy. The napped surface covers the elastic core. The outer cover is durable, flexible and transparent, for protecting the elastic core from chewing activity while providing a view of the napped surface. The napped surface spaces the outer cover from the elastic core, such that the outer cover conforms to the shape of the pet toy. | 07-29-2010

Protective cap for reinforcing bars - A protective cap for covering the exposed end of a concrete reinforcing bar which includes a tubular collar having an open lower end, an upper end and hollow interior, a cap perpendicularly mounted to the tubular collar and the cap having a metal plate embedded therein. A plurality of reinforcing ribs are mounted between the tubular collar and the cap providing rigidity therebetween. Protective cap includes a plurality of minor reinforcing ribs mounted between the tubular collar and the cap and interposed between the major reinforcing ribs, and finally including a plurality of fins provided within the hollow interior of the tubular collar which extends inwardly into the hollow interior adapted to grasp the exposed end of a concrete reinforcing bar. | 12-24-2009

Selectively Angled Perforating - A method of perforating a wellbore by forming a perforation that is aligned with a reservoir characteristic, such as direction of maximum stress, lines of constant formation properties, and the formation dip. The wellbore can be perforated using a perforating system employing a shaped charge, a mechanical device, or a high pressure fluid. The perforating system can be aligned by asymmetric weights, a motor, or manipulation from the wellbore surface. | 10-01-2009
Wiper Plug Perforating System - A method and system for cementing and perforating a wellbore in a single step by coupling a perforating gun with a wiper plug. The method includes injecting cement in a wellbore having casing therein and an annulus between the casing and wellbore. A wiper plug is dropped on the cement having a perforating gun attached to the wiper plug. The plug is forced downward pulling the perforating gun along. The downward motion of the plug in turn pushes the cement out the bottom end of the casing and into the annulus. The cement in the annulus is allowed to set and the perforating gun is activated. | 04-22-2010

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ACTIVELY CONTROLLING FUEL FLOW TO A MIXER ASSEMBLY OF A GAS TURBINE ENGINE COMBUSTOR - An apparatus for actively controlling fuel flow from a fuel pump to a mixer assembly of a gas turbine engine combustor, where the mixer assembly includes a pilot mixer and a main mixer. The pilot mixer further includes an annular pilot housing having a hollow interior, a primary fuel injector mounted in the pilot housing and adapted for dispensing droplets of fuel to the hollow interior of the pilot housing, a plurality of axial swirlers positioned upstream from the primary fuel injector. The fuel flow control apparatus further includes: at least one sensor for detecting dynamic pressure in the combustor; a fuel nozzle; and, a system for controlling fuel flow supplied by the fuel nozzle through the valves. The fuel nozzle includes: a feed strip with a plurality of circuits for providing fuel to the pilot mixer and the main mixer; and, a plurality of valves associated with the fuel nozzle and in flow communication with the feed strip thereof. The control system activates the valves in accordance with signals received from the pressure sensor. | 01-06-2011
