| 20100161394 | MODULAR E-COMMERCE WEB SITE DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM - A system in accordance with the invention creates a predesigned software product generally for e-commerce applications that is modifiable by a company-user in terms of not only look and feel, but also functionality and flow. Such a system includes a set of predesigned business modules where each business module performs a unique function. Each business module is accompanied by a respective set of templates, each of which models a web page. Within each template is embedded one or more commands. To customize its system, the company-user (1) selects which business modules it desires, (2) selects which templates it desires to use with each business module, and (3) customizes each template in terms of look and feel. By selecting the modules, the company-user determines the system's overall functionality, and by selecting the templates, the company-user determines the look and feel and flow of the system. Once customized, the company-user populates a database for use of the system with company-specific data. | 06-24-2010 |

| 20100025976 | OCCUPANT RESTRAINT - This invention relates to the field of load restraint systems, particularly occupant restraint systems that provide improved restraint by adopting more closely the contour of the occupant and particularly actively controlled restraint systems which respond to the external environment and hazardous situations. There is provided an articulated restraint which more closely adopts the profile of an occupant to provide a better and closer fitting restraint. Improving the fit of the restraint to the occupant provides better survivability in impact scenarios. The articulated restraint is formed from a series of elements which are joined by a connecting cord. When tension is applied to the cord the elements compress together and adopt the form of the occupant, further tension forces the elements to form a substantially rigid conformation which retains the occupant in a seat. There is further provided an active restraint system for actively controlling the tension in the connecting cord in response to external forces or hazardous events. The restraint and active restraint system may be used in place of conventional five point harnesses and seat belts to provide improved survivability in impacts and better restraint in the seating position for manoeuvres resulting in significant G-forces. | 02-04-2010 |

| 20110299927 | BUOY SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MINIMIZING BEACH EROSION AND OTHER APPLICATIONS FOR ATTENUATING WATER SURFACE ACTIVITY - A buoy for use in reducing the amplitude of waves in water and a system making use of plural buoys to create a floating breakwater. Each buoy is arranged to be constrained, e.g., connected to an anchor, and comprising a body e.g., a cylindrical member having at least one outwardly projecting fin, that is configured to be resonant and impedance matched. The buoy and anchoring approach allows for self-tuning to the chances in the wave spectrum due to the tidal or storm surge induced changes in the water depth. The body of the floating buoy is not limited to circular cylinder, and could be square, hexagonal, triangular, etc but must have at least one exterior mounted fin. | 12-08-2011 |
