20090294197Snowmobile Rear Suspension System - A suspension assembly for a snowmobile is provided that rotatably supports a closed-loop track in the rear tunnel of the snowmobile and also supports both vertical and horizontal travel of said closed-loop track during suspension system travel. The suspension assembly includes at least one elongated ground contact that supports rotational travel of the closed loop track and at least one swing arm angularly disposed in the closed-loop track and having a front end portion pivotably coupled to the rear tunnel and a rear end portion coupled to the at least one ground contact. In the preferred arrangement, a front resilient member is arranged to bias against displacement between the chassis and the at least one ground contact during suspension assembly travel and a rear resilient member arranged to bias against displacement between the chassis and the swing arm during suspension assembly travel. A tensioner couples the rear end portion of the swing arm to the at least one ground contact. The tensioner is extendable and retractable during movement of the suspension assembly to maintain the closed loop track at a generally uniform tension during assembly movement.12-03-2009

20110101579Multi-Stage Telescopic Shock Absorber - A multi-stage shock absorber with closed ends has a plurality of tubular shock bodies telescopically interconnected together, and includes a piston arrangement slidably mounted within certain of the shock bodies to define a number of chambers variously containing damping and/or spring elements for enabling damping of shock forces applied to the shock absorber.05-05-2011
20110115180Suspension Assemblies and Systems for Land Vehicles - A suspension assembly for a land vehicle comprises a spindle defining a steering axis for the land vehicle and configured to pivotably couple to a ground contact; an upper pivotable member having an inboard end configured to pivotably couple to the land vehicle and an outboard end pivotably coupled to the spindle; a lower pivotable member having an inboard end configured to pivotably couple to the land vehicle and an outboard end pivotably coupled to the spindle; a resilient member having an upper end configured to pivotably couple to the land vehicle and a lower end pivotably coupled to the spindle; a caster adjustment mechanism adjusting the position of one of the upper pivotable member and lower pivotable member relative to the spindle to thereby adjust caster; and a camber adjustment mechanism adjusting the position of one of the upper pivotable member and lower pivotable member relative to the spindle to thereby adjust camber.05-19-2011

20100234553Molded Polyurethane Part, Method for its Production and its Use - The present invention relates to lightfast and hydrolytically resistant molded polyurethane parts with excellent strength properties and a high temperature resistance and colorfastness to light at elevated temperatures for sophisticated applications in the sector of automobile interiors, which products are produced from a reaction mixture of aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic compositions by using a cost-effective reaction injection molding method (RIM) or a casting method that requires only a short mold residence time. To this end, A) a composition composed of A1) an OH-terminated trifunctional prepolymer, A2) a polyol or a polyol combination, A3) at last one di- and/or trifunctional chain-lengthening agent and/or crosslinking agent with amine and/or hydroxyl groups, and A4) a catalyst system, and optionally A5) a stabilizer system, and optionally A6) at least one additive, and B) an isocyanate composition, are reacted.09-16-2010

20110232532Settable Building Material Composition Including Landfill Leachate - A composition capable of setting to produce a building material is disclosed. The composition can include from 1% to 30% by weight of an activator, from 1% to 55% by weight of a pozzolan, such as fly ash; from 40% to 90% by weight of an aggregate; and liquid landfill leachate in a sufficient amount such that the composition sets to a building material having a compressive strength of at least 2 MPa, wherein all weight percentages are percent by weight of the total composition. The liquid landfill leachate replaces all or part of the tap water in a conventional composition for forming a building material. The liquid landfill leachate can be recovered after a liquid (typically water) percolates through a landfill and contacts at least one landfilled coal combustion product selected from fly ash, bottom ash, boiler slag, and flue gas desulfurization material. The building material can be a concrete, or a masonry unit.09-29-2011
